Award ceremony photos at the Award Announcement Ceremony of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam

On the evening of December 11, 2024, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Information and Communications solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and announced the awards of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Party and State, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , the Central Propaganda Department, the Central External Relations Department, the Steering Committee for External Information Work; representatives of leaders of central and local ministries and branches.

This is the second year the Contest has been held online on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform at: https://vietnam.vn . Compared to 2023, the Contest has been spread strongly when all 63 provinces and cities have authors participating. Hanoi is leading in the number of entries, followed by Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. As a result, after 7 months of launching (from March 20, 2024 to October 15, 2024), the Organizing Committee received more than 10,300 photo and video entries.

The contest was also widely promoted on social networks, targeting the overseas Vietnamese community and foreigners. Thanks to that, nearly 600 foreign authors and about 270 overseas Vietnamese authors registered for the contest.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Information and Communications affirmed that this is an important event to honor people across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends who apply digital technology to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam.

At the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition and Announcement of the Awards for the Photo and Video Contest “Happy Vietnam – Happy Vietnam 2024”, the Organizing Committee displayed 60 videos and 150 best photos, of which 34 works were awarded prizes. Each photo and video category has 17 prizes, including 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals, 3 Bronze Medals, 10 Encouragement Prizes and 1 most voted work.

In the video category , there are: the work "Leng keng di huong - For a happy Vietnam!" by authors Tue Giang, Khanh An, Dieu Huong, Nhat Anh and A Tale of Phu Quoc by author Dau Van Duy; Bronze prizes for the works "Yen Bai Golden Season" by author Le Tuan Thanh, "Tay Ninh - Sacred Land of the South" by author Nguyen Dinh Dong Giao, "Ho Chi Minh City from above" by author Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong.

The Organizing Committee also awarded 1 most voted video prize to the work "Check in Vietnam - Promoting Hanoi check-in map" by Check in VietNam.
