On April 22, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a press conference to inform about the Journey "Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration for the Country".
Accordingly, from April 24 to April 27, the Journey "Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration for the Country" will take place with a series of activities to visit, give gifts, and show gratitude to the families of Dien Bien veterans, wounded and sick soldiers, families with meritorious services to the revolution, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs...
The launching ceremony of the “Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration for the Country” journey will be held on April 24, at the historical site of Hanoi Flag Tower. Delegates will visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum; offer incense at the Bac Son Monument for Heroes and Martyrs; and offer incense at the house of General Vo Nguyen Giap. The program will be organized into 3 branch journeys towards Dien Bien province and will gather in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien province on April 26.
Specifically, the journey "Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration for the Country" started from Hanoi with 44 delegates going through the provinces: Hoa Binh, Son La and gathering in Dien Bien.
The journey “I love my Fatherland” was deployed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, selecting 120 delegates who are union officials and outstanding youth in various fields to participate in the journey. The journey will be divided into 2 routes to march to Dien Bien. In the provinces the journey passes through, the delegates will visit and offer incense at historical sites; visit and present gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution, families with preferential policies; inaugurate and present youth projects to families and students in difficult circumstances.
The journey “Students with aspirations for the country” was organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association with 70 outstanding students and union officials nationwide. Delegates will participate in a series of social security activities in Muong Nhe district and activities to pay tribute and offer incense to the heroic martyrs.
The branches will gather on April 26 in Dien Bien province. The organizing committee will hold the art program "Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration of the Country" at 7:30 p.m. on April 26. Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee will award prizes for the contest to learn about the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and launch a contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. The Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival will also take place here with the participation of 200 child delegates and 64 typical delegates in charge.
On this occasion, the delegations presented many meaningful projects to Dien Bien province and the mountainous provinces of the Northwest cluster with a total support resource of more than 7.6 billion VND for the localities within the framework of the journey. Of which, the support resource for Dien Bien province is more than 6.3 billion VND.
Speaking at the press conference, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Central Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his hope that the event would be an opportunity to educate young people about the significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory through the destinations of the journey and historical witnesses.
