Kinhtedothi-Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan expressed his belief that HANDICO will continue to be a strong brand, worthy of being the leading enterprise of the capital in the field of construction investment, creating large and strong products, contributing more to the capital and standing firm with the times.
Today, December 24, Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (HANDICO) held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy the plan for 2025. Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan attended and gave a speech.
Many production and business indicators have high growth.
On behalf of the Corporation's leadership, informing about the results of the implementation of the tasks in 2024 and the direction and tasks in 2025, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, member of the Board of Members, General Director of HANDICO Pham Tien Duc said that under the drastic direction and management of the Corporation's leadership, member units and the efforts of the staff, by the end of 2024, all production and business targets of the entire Corporation were completed beyond the set plan, many targets had high growth: budget payment of VND 1,677 billion, reaching 152.5% of the plan, up 39.8%; revenue of VND 11,090 billion, reaching 103.6% of the plan, up 3.6%; profit of VND 1,700 billion, reaching 141.7% of the plan, up 41.7% compared to last year. Workers' lives and jobs are guaranteed, with an average income of 8.2 million VND/person/month.
Notably, the total production and business value of the whole Corporation reached 12,052 billion VND, reaching 103% of the plan and increasing by 3.9% compared to 2023 - the 9th consecutive year to maintain this target at over 10 trillion VND.
Notably, the structure of production and business sectors has changed in a positive direction, in line with the orientation of the Corporation, in which project development investment and construction and installation continue to be the main production sectors.
In 2024, project development investment activities will reach VND 3,178 billion, accounting for 26.4% of the total production and business value achieved. At the same time, construction and installation will be VND 1,902 billion (15.8%); real estate leasing will be VND 840 billion (6.9%); mineral exploitation, hydropower, trade-services, and joint ventures will be VND 5,890 billion (48.9%)... Dozens of investment projects will continue to be implemented in Hanoi, along with a series of apartment projects, low-rise housing, and tourist areas implemented in other localities across the country.
In particular, construction and installation continues to contribute greatly to the total value of production and business. Construction and installation projects are organized to ensure progress, quality, and fire safety, which are highly appreciated by investors.
“The above achievements are primarily due to the solidarity and determination of all employees in implementing tasks and plans. The Corporation has strengthened its direction and management to comprehensively implement production and business activities from the first days of the year, carefully reviewed every month, focused on overcoming existing difficulties, striving to complete production and business plans each month and quarter; closely following the City's direction on consolidating and developing new growth drivers, improving internal capacity... Those results are a favorable basis for HANDICO to strive to best implement the production and business plan targets for the period 2021-2025 according to the Resolution of the 5th Party Congress of the Corporation" - Mr. Pham Tien Duc shared.
Along with positive results in production and business, the Party building work continues to be well implemented by the organization's leaders. The key work programs of the Party Committee and Party committees were issued in the first month of the year, and were completed on schedule; resolutions and work programs of the City were promptly deployed throughout the Corporation.
Flexible management, focusing on mobilizing resources
Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan praised Hanoi Housing Investment and Development Corporation for its efforts to exceed the targets of the 2024 production and business plan, with key targets such as production and business value, revenue, budget payment, and profit all reaching higher than planned. Many key projects and works were focused on and implemented to ensure progress and quality. Post-investment management and operation work was also well implemented in buildings and apartment complexes, contributing to stabilizing and improving the lives of the community. At the same time, the work of renovating and rearranging enterprises is being carried out by the Corporation in accordance with the roadmap and plan of the City.
From there, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan said that 2025 is the year of acceleration, breakthrough to the finish line, striving to achieve the highest results of the goals and targets of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. Hanoi City will focus on directing the summary of Resolution 18-NQ/TW on "a number of issues on continuing to innovate, reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently"; prepare and successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the 18th City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Affirming that the forecast of the world and domestic situation still has difficulties, challenges and favorable opportunities intertwined, in order to complete the 2025 plan as well as the plan for the entire 2021-2025 term, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Board of Directors of the Corporation to continue to focus on closely following and implementing well the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the Central ministries and branches; the leadership and direction of the City. From there, propose solutions to implement and promote the favorable factors and strengths of the Corporation, especially continuing to maintain and promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and flexible management; focus on mobilizing resources to strive to complete the production and business targets assigned by the City in 2025.
Mr. Duong Duc Tuan also requested the Corporation to do well in the work of building the Party and mass organizations; to carefully and thoroughly prepare the plan for the Congresses of branches and grassroots Party Committees for the 2025-2030 term towards the 6th Congress of the Corporation Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; to well implement the "Project for restructuring, reorganizing and innovating, improving competitiveness, and developing production and business of the Corporation until the end of 2025 and the following years".
At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee noted that HANDICO should strengthen its direction and management, digital transformation in all areas of work; ensure progress, quality, safety and efficiency in implementing projects and works; promote the application of modern technology and equipment to improve construction capacity; develop the HANDICO brand, and expand the market nationwide. In particular, focus on promoting the internal market, exploiting the strengths of each unit in the areas of operation; control costs, reduce prices, and improve product competitiveness.
Notably, emphasizing that investment in social housing construction is a strength of the Corporation, while currently there are legal conditions and mechanisms related to social housing, the benefits in developing this field are very large, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that the Corporation pay more attention to this work, and at the same time become the main force in directly investing in developing the city's resettlement housing fund.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, respectfully accepting the direction of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of HANDICO Truong Hai Long affirmed that these are important orientations in 2025 and the following years for the Corporation; encouragement and motivation for all employees. The Corporation will build a system of specific solutions to implement the directed issues, strive to overcome all difficulties, and best complete the tasks in 2025.
In particular, "a key point in HANDICO's development orientation is to develop concentrated urban areas and social housing to both create jobs for employees and contribute to the fund of 1 million social housing apartments for the city. Accepting the opinion of the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, the Board of Directors of the Corporation will direct units to continue to focus more on this field in the coming time" - Mr. Truong Hai Long said.
To contribute to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of 2025, Chairman of the General Corporation's Trade Union Ngo Minh Tuan, on behalf of the General Corporation's Trade Union, launched an emulation movement to all employees with the theme: "Determination to innovate, actively create, improve labor productivity, work efficiency, save, fight waste, welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Patriotic Emulation Congress at all levels, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress".
