Statistics from MoMo show that there are currently about 2.5 million users paying via this application for more than 90% of public administrative services on the National Public Service Portal and 1 million users for public services.
4,260 schools nationwide, most of which are in Ho Chi Minh City, accept tuition payments via MoMo. Similarly, 148 hospitals and clinics nationwide, including all major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, also implement payments via MoMo.
About 51.3% of customers aged 18-27 have chosen MoMo as a payment method on the National Public Service Portal and 45.8% of young customers in this age group also use MoMo to pay for public administrative services.
Compared to 2022, payments on the National Public Service Portal using MoMo in 2023 increased by 155% for paying fees and charges, and increased by 315% for paying traffic fines.
Based on statistical data, MoMo representative emphasized the role of young people in implementing the policy of promoting national digital transformation. Young people are the core force in effectively implementing digital transformation, through changing living habits, spreading new messages from the government, thereby leading the whole society towards new trends.
MoMo representative also said that in the process of digital transformation, especially public services, young people are the main user group and the pillar in developing this field based on three factors: the ability to quickly absorb technological information; regularly use online services; tend to share on social networking platforms and guide relatives to use.

Direct the upgrading and development of the interbank electronic payment system, financial switching and electronic clearing system, and payment systems of banks; continue to apply and develop payment products and services on mobile devices.
Continue to effectively implement the project "Developing population data applications, electronic identification and authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, vision to 2030" to gradually clean up the customer database... to develop applications to promote electronic payments in the Government sector and public administrative services.
At the same time, the State Bank will closely coordinate with relevant units to promote electronic payments in the Government sector, public administrative services, especially in the coordination of state budget collection, in the fields of health and education.
Promote information, propaganda, training, and guidance to raise awareness of e-commerce activities, including protecting the legitimate rights and interests of users of e-commerce means and services.
