According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice fluctuates at 8,400 - 8,500 VND; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 8,800 - 8,900 VND; OM 380 rice is at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is at 9,200 VND/kg; Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.
In many localities today, fresh rice prices are stable, rice transactions are stagnant. In Bac Lieu, there are few buyers, rice transactions are stagnant. In Dong Thap, transactions are weak, traders buy slowly due to poor output, prices are stable.
In Soc Trang, new transactions continued to be slow, rice prices dropped slightly, buyers offered low prices. In Long An, transactions have been stagnant since yesterday afternoon, prices have not fluctuated much.
Similarly, with rice, during the week, rice prices fluctuated up and down, some rice products increased and decreased in opposite directions at the beginning of the week, then decreased sharply at the end of the week with a total decrease of 400 VND/kg.
According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of raw rice IR 504 fluctuates at 8,700-8,800 VND/kg; Finished rice IR 504 fluctuates at 10,300-10,400 VND/kg.
For by-products, the prices of by-products and various by-products range from 5,900 - 8,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant rice bran ranges from 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; the price of dry bran ranges from 6,000 - 6,050 VND/kg.
Recorded in localities today, the amount of incoming rice is slow, the price of all types of rice is stable, new transactions are slow. In Lap Vo - Vam Cong (Dong Thap), new transactions are slow, warehouses buy slowly, prices are stable. In An Giang, the market transactions are slow, prices are stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the amount of incoming rice is slow, the price of all types of rice is stable, warehouses buy slowly.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 473 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 438 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 332 USD/ton.
According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, rice exports in 2024 will reach 9 million tons for the first time, earning 5.8 billion USD, up 10.6% in volume but up 23% in value compared to 2023.
The average export price of rice in 2024 will also increase by 16.7% compared to 2023. This is an extremely impressive breakthrough after 35 years since Vietnam began exporting rice. Currently, Vietnam ranks 3rd in the world in rice exports after India with 17 million tons and Thailand with 10 million tons.
Of which, the Philippines is currently Vietnam's largest rice consumer market with 3.6 million tons, accounting for 40% of Vietnam's total rice exports and more than 79% of the Philippines' total 3.68 million tons of imported rice.
The next largest markets are Indonesia and Malaysia. Among the 15 largest rice export markets of Vietnam, the export value of rice increased the most in the Malaysian market with an increase of 2.3 times compared to 2023.
