Livestock situation in Dong Nai

According to information from Dong Nai Newspaper, a report by the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that as of November, 1,979 establishments in the province had stopped raising livestock or relocated, reaching more than 65.8% of the total number of establishments required to follow the roadmap by December 31. Of these, 1,971 establishments had completely stopped operating, accounting for 99.6%.

Some localities have achieved high results in implementing this roadmap, including: Long Khanh City with 131 establishments relocated or stopped raising livestock, reaching 91.6%; Thong Nhat District with 66 establishments, reaching nearly 89.2%; Vinh Cuu District reaching nearly 84.4% with 215 establishments implementing.

However, Dong Nai province said that to date, no livestock farms have submitted applications for relocation policy support. Most of the farms have stopped raising livestock and are therefore not eligible for support.

For the relocated facilities, most of them moved from residential areas to garden areas far from residential areas to continue household-scale livestock farming, but did not meet the conditions for receiving support policies according to regulations.
