Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on March 3, 2025 |
According to statistics, the domestic coffee market decreased sharply from 4,400 to 5,300 VND at the end of the week. In addition, the global coffee market decreased sharply when the prices of Robusta and Arabica futures for delivery in May 2025 lost 387 USD/ton and 16.2 cents/lb, respectively.
Coffee prices are still on a downward trend due to many factors. Notably, the Brazilian Real continues to depreciate, causing farmers in this country to sell heavily to preserve profits, increasing pressure on Arabica coffee prices.
Meanwhile, Robusta inventories on ICE fell to a two-month low, but were not enough to support prices. Exports from Brazil and Vietnam remained abundant, adding to supply pressure.
In addition, consumption demand has shown signs of slowing down. Investment funds have also limited their purchases due to concerns about global economic risks, causing the trading market to be quiet.
Experts say coffee prices may continue to decline slightly due to pressure from large supplies and weak demand. Robusta may fluctuate around $5,200 - $5,300 per ton, while Arabica remains in the range of 370 - 375 cents per lb.
However, the market may recover in April when Brazil enters its new harvest, which is usually when coffee prices adjust slightly higher as roasters step up purchases.
