The Aquaculture Association of Nhan Thinh Commune (Ly Nhan) was established at the end of 2024 with 17 members who are aquaculture households. After only a short time, the association's activities have been effective, improving the value of farming and increasing sustainable income for members.

Accordingly, the activities of the professional association are innovated in both content and form, suitable to reality, meeting the requirements of members, associated with the rights and obligations of farmer members. By participating in the professional association, aquaculture households can share experiences, help, exchange information on science and technology (S&T) in farming, supply breeds, feed, labor, support each other in the production process... Along with mobilizing members to apply S&T advances, mobilize capital and labor, the association also creates cooperation links between members with each other and with businesses, contributing to increasing productivity, quality and income.

The fish farming model of Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan's household in Dong Thuy village 2, with a scale of more than 10 hectares, focuses on raising various types of fish and meat fish, such as: grass carp, common carp, bighead carp, grass carp, etc. Mr. Ngan said: The fish pond is designed to float on the middle of the field with a complete water supply and drainage system and oxygen fan. This is a relatively new technique, with many advantages over submerged ponds. Specifically, submerged ponds are deeper, so digging is more labor-intensive, while floating ponds only need to be dug 50 - 70cm, then using a layer of fertile soil to build a bank 1.5 - 2m high to be put into use, convenient for expanding and expanding the area when needed. The pond is installed with an aeration pump system to create oxygen to help the fish breathe well and grow healthily. In addition, the pond is also equipped with an entire automatic feeding trough system, just press a button, the bran will be released directly into the pond surface in batches to feed the fish. Because the fish are always floating and moving, the weight can be determined to regulate the amount of food appropriately, avoiding excess bran, causing water pollution. Another advantage of semi-floating ponds is that the water surface area is expanded, the ability to receive light and wind is higher than submerged ponds, good ventilation, suitable for high-density farming. In terms of economic efficiency, my model sells about 100 tons of fish to the market every year, after deducting costs, the income is about 300 - 400 million VND.

With the snail farming model of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung's household, previously, also on the current farming area, Mr. Hung raised fish on an area of ​​7 sao, but with a small area, it was not economically efficient and the investment cost for production development was high, so he switched to commercial snail farming. Mr. Hung said: Snails are easy to raise, rarely get sick, especially the food for snails is duckweed which is readily available, I made 2 more sao of pond to raise duckweed as food for snails, in addition, snails can eat leftover vegetables, tubers, and fruits. Compared to the previous traditional livestock farming or rice cultivation, snail farming is both leisurely and economically efficient. Each year, 1.3 - 1.5 tons of commercial snails are harvested, the price depending on the size of the snail ranges from 70 - 90 thousand VND/kg.

Accompanying the members of the Aquaculture Professional Association, the Commune Farmers' Association regularly creates conditions to support farmer members in developing production, raising livestock, solving employment, increasing household economic income; creating conditions for farmer members to access preferential capital from the Social Policy Bank, capital sources from the Farmers' Support Fund at all levels... Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan, Head of the Aquaculture Professional Association of Nhan Thinh Commune affirmed: In the coming time, the association will gradually innovate its organization and activities, the content of activities based on the actual and necessary needs of members in the process of aquaculture and production development. The association is always a bridge to create connections between members, share experiences, especially in investing and applying science and technology in production; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of members, gradually help members and farmers get acquainted and have appropriate skills and experience in linking and working in groups.

Mr. Tran Dinh Tuyen, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nhan Thinh Commune, said: In 2024, the Farmers' Association of the Commune established and launched an aquaculture professional association and a cooperative for growing and processing cassava. The establishment of aquaculture professional associations, cooperatives or professional associations aims to establish close links between farmer members, promote the movement of farmers competing in production and good business, and increase income for people associated with the construction of new rural areas in the locality.
