Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Police Department, said: This year is the 10th year that the Provincial Police Department and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have coordinated to organize meetings and exchanges with religious dignitaries in the province. That demonstrates the solidarity, unity and understanding between the government, the police force, the Provincial Fatherland Front and religious dignitaries in the province. These are precious sentiments, symbolizing the spirit and strength of the great national unity bloc in Ninh Binh.
The Provincial Police Director also informed about the outstanding results in ensuring national security and maintaining social order and safety in the province in recent times, affirming that these results have important contributions from religious dignitaries, a large number of parishioners and Buddhist followers. Sincerely thanking the religious dignitaries, the Provincial Police Director hopes that in the coming time, he will continue to receive the attention and coordination of all levels, sectors, and people of all walks of life, and the companionship and cooperation of religious dignitaries and followers so that the police force can continue to excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, protect national security, maintain social order and safety, and protect the peaceful and happy life of the people.
At the meeting, representatives of religious dignitaries expressed their joy, excitement, and gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, especially the Provincial Police and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for organizing a meaningful meeting, contributing to creating conditions for religions to exchange, share, sympathize and understand each other better, thereby creating solidarity, joining hands and unanimity with the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the province to build Ninh Binh to develop more and more rapidly and sustainably.
Thank you to the Party Committees and authorities in the province for always paying attention to grasping the thoughts and aspirations, promptly resolving legitimate and legal recommendations and proposals, creating favorable conditions and environments for religious followers to practice with peace of mind and actively participate in contributing to the work of the country and the locality. Representatives of religions affirmed that they will continue to encourage religious followers to promote the good values of religion, building the homeland and the country to become increasingly prosperous.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, summarized the outstanding achievements in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, security and defense of the province in 2023.
Regarding the results of religious work, the Provincial Party Secretary said: In 2023, all levels and sectors from the province to the grassroots have paid attention to the legitimate religious needs, creating favorable conditions for religious organizations to operate in accordance with State regulations, charters and regulations of religious organizations, meeting the needs of religious followers; encouraging dignitaries and followers to live a good life and uphold their religion.
Important religious events are also important tasks of the province, all are coordinated to be organized joyfully, excitedly, safely, economically according to religious rituals, creating sharing among the majority of people in the province. Many religious establishments have been given attention and created conditions to build new ones, rebuild them beautifully and spaciously. The trust of religious people in the leadership of the Party Committee and the government is increasingly affirmed, the relationship between religions and the government and the Fatherland Front is increasingly close, cohesive, creating high consensus.
The Provincial Party Secretary also acknowledged the positive and valuable contributions of religious dignitaries, officials and followers in the province in recent times and affirmed: The important achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province have achieved in the past year have had the positive contributions of religious dignitaries, officials and followers.
In particular, the majority of dignitaries, officials and religious people have well implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; actively responded to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, socio-economic development programs, and maintained security and order in the locality...
Religious dignitaries have successfully implemented the campaign "Religious dignitaries and officials join hands to build houses of solidarity between religions", building 23 houses of solidarity between religions with a total cost of over 4 billion VND. In addition, they have actively participated in and mobilized followers to carry out social security activities...
Emphasizing the province's goal in the coming time is to build Ninh Binh into a fairly developed province by 2030, basically meeting the criteria of a centrally-run city ; and becoming a centrally-run city by 2035, the Provincial Party Secretary said: To do that, it requires high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions from all levels, sectors, the entire political system and all classes of people in the province; in which there is a very important role of religious dignitaries and officials.
The Provincial Party Secretary hopes and believes that in the coming time, religious organizations, religious dignitaries and officials will continue to unite, stay close to their homeland, accompany the nation and closely cooperate with the government and the Fatherland Front at all levels, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc, fulfilling their civic duties; actively responding to and participating in local revolutionary movements and action programs; paying attention to propagating and mobilizing religious dignitaries, officials, religious people and people in the province to agree and unanimously implement the political tasks of the province.
In the immediate future, during the 2024 Lunar New Year, dignitaries will actively propagate and mobilize religious people to strictly comply with legal regulations on preventing and combating all types of crimes, social evils, and ensuring traffic order and safety...
He also requested that Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province strengthen leadership and direction to do well in propaganda work, raise awareness of the position and role of religious work in the new situation and make religious work an important content in the leadership and direction of Party committees; mobilize, unite, and gather religious organizations, dignitaries, and followers to actively contribute to socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, and build the political system of the province.
Regularly listen to, direct, and coordinate the resolution of recommendations and reflections on legal and legitimate issues of dignitaries, officials, monks, and religious followers; create conditions for religious organizations in the province to practice their religion in accordance with their charters, regulations, and legal provisions.
