ANTD.VN - Fortinet announced new updates to the industry's most comprehensive OT security platform focused on enhancing visibility, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
Scalable OT Security Platform Highly Recognized by Customers |
Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) today announced new enhancements to its OT Security Platform to enhance critical infrastructure protection against increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats.
New enhancements not only outperform traditional OT visibility solutions, but also provide deeper OT threat intelligence with FortiGuard OT security services.
Key enhancements to Fortinet’s OT security platform combine the FortiGate Rugged next-generation firewall with enhancements from the FortiGuard OT security service to deliver optimal protection in OT environments, allowing organizations to detect threats across more than 3,300 OT protocol rules, nearly 750 OT IPS rules, and 1,500 virtual patching rules.
These features help protect systems from known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs) and other cyber risks, while providing advanced threat protection through virtual patching for legacy OT systems.
Additional new security features include updates to FortiSRA, enhanced secure remote access with improved password management and security credentials for OT environments.
To ensure secure network segmentation, Fortinet introduced two new industrial switches, the FortiSwitch Rugged 108F and FortiSwitch Rugged 112F-POE, expanding its portfolio of small form factor industrial switches.
For secure and sustainable connectivity, Fortinet is introducing two advanced 5G-enabled solutions that are ruggedized to operate in harsh conditions: the FortiExtender Rugged 511G; and the FortiExtender Vehicle 511G. Both solutions feature integrated Wi-Fi 6 and eSIM, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card and simplifying carrier selection.
Fortinet is also enhancing its AI-powered security operations (SecOps) capabilities for OT.
“These latest enhancements provide organizations with the tools they need to improve OT security and ensure regulatory compliance, all managed through a single, unified platform,” said Nirav Shah, senior vice president of products and solutions at Fortinet.
“Alleima’s remote site management appreciates the Fortinet infrastructure,” said Chris Lubinski, Network Security Engineer, Alleima. “Network connectivity is faster, more reliable, and response times to support requests are approximately 10 times faster. As a result, the entire Alleima team is significantly happier with our global network and security.”
