Present at the construction site of the Investment Project to build a grade-separated intersection at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang - Mang Nuoc - National Highway 5 (grade-separated intersection project) in An Dong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city, in early April 2024, the atmosphere was bustling and busy. The contractor focused on machinery, equipment and human resources to complete the final items to bring the project to the finish line soon.
With a total investment of nearly 690 billion VND from the local budget, the Level Differential Interchange Project is one of the key traffic projects of Hai Phong City. The project is expected to eliminate "black spots" causing traffic congestion as well as potential high risks of traffic safety on National Highway 5. At the same time, it helps to complete the traffic system of the Port City.
The contractor is completing the final items of the Level Crossing Project in An Duong District, Hai Phong City.
According to information from the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Level Differential Intersection Project was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 2112/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2022. The unit was assigned to represent the investor.
The level-separated intersection project started on January 7, 2023 and is expected to be completed and put into use in July 2024. The construction contractor is a joint venture of Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company - Bridge 14 Joint Stock Company - Phuc Loc Group Joint Stock Company.
During the project construction process, the contractor encountered many difficulties. In particular, they were mainly related to site clearance. By early April 2024, there were still 13 households whose land was recovered for the project but had not yet handed over the site. In addition, the construction process encountered many obstacles due to the narrow space, and the need to ensure traffic safety while constructing.
The overpass project at the different-level traffic intersection in An Duong district, Hai Phong city, is basically completed.
To remove difficulties and obstacles to help contractors ensure project progress, the Hai Phong Department of Transport has issued instructions on traffic diversion to help limit traffic in the project area. Leaders of the Hai Phong City People's Committee have repeatedly inspected the site and requested the An Duong district government to be resolute in site clearance.
Thanks to the above support and assistance, along with the efforts of the contractor to overcome difficulties, by April 5, the overpass section of the project directly connecting to National Highway 5 was basically completed. To facilitate the construction of the branch road and intersection under the bridge, the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board issued Document No. 331/BQL-DA2 requesting the Department of Transport to organize temporary traffic diversion from April 5.
At the same time, request the People's Committee of An Duong district, Hai Phong city, to direct relevant units, departments and offices to completely resolve existing problems and hand over the entire site to the contractor before April 10.

According to information from the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, according to the contract, the project will be completed in July 2024. However, according to the actual situation, it is expected that the Differential Interchange Project will be completed and put into use in May 2024, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day .
The investment project to build a grade-separated intersection at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang - Mang Nuoc - National Highway 5 in An Dong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city, includes the following items: Construction of a direct overpass in the direction of National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh with a length of 285 m, a width of 19.5 m, and a retaining wall for the approach roads at both ends of the bridge with a length of 200 m.
The traffic intersection under the bridge by the roundabout has 4 branches of the service road on both sides of the overpass and the roads to the South intersection of Binh bridge, Ton Duc Thang street, the road connecting to the beltway 2 (according to the planning) and Mang Nuoc street connecting to and from the central road of the roundabout. The branch roads on both sides of the intersection with a cross-section of 9.5 m on each side, including a 7.5 m wide road surface, a 2 m wide sidewalk, then gradually connecting to the existing road.
