Mr. Nishida Hideki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam, donated 1 billion VND to the HOPE Foundation to provide sustainable support to people affected by storms and floods.

Flooded students were happy when Mr. Nishida Hideki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam, presented them with new school uniforms.

Accordingly, the donation of 1 billion VND and 9,000 outfits from the RE.UNIQLO program for people in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 from UNIQLO Vietnam will be given to the Hope Foundation to provide sustainable support, helping people affected by storms and floods quickly return to normal life.

Support activities focus on the education sector, including renovating classrooms that are peeling, collapsing, missing doors, or leaking water, rebuilding embankments and dykes to make schools safe, and providing books, school supplies, and clothes that have been swept away by floods or stained by mud.

Ms. Nguyen Xuan Tu, CEO of Hope Fund, shared: "Hope Fund appreciates UNIQLO Vietnam's timely support to help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods, especially students and teachers. In addition to cash, clothes from the RE.UNIQLO program donated on this occasion are also meaningful and essential products, not only after the storms and floods, but also for the upcoming winter. This support not only demonstrates the social responsibility of the UNIQLO Vietnam brand, but also spreads positive values, inspiring on the journey of long-term sustainable development".

To date, the RE.UNIQLO program has donated more than 39,000 clothing products to people in difficult circumstances in the provinces of Dien Bien, Son La, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Thanh Hoa, etc. During the COVID-19 pandemic, together with the Hope Foundation, UNIQLO donated 4,000 AIRism shirts and 1,000 masks to frontline forces such as doctors and medical staff.

In addition, in early 2024, UNIQLO contributed 1 billion VND to the Hope Fund to build a new school in Trong Trai, Ho Bon commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, contributing to strengthening facilities and improving the quality of education for students and teachers.
