Celebrating 5 years, Uniqlo Vietnam launches 2 collections honoring Vietnamese culture

(Dan Tri) - Uniqlo, a global fashion retail brand from Japan, has launched a program to celebrate its 5th anniversary in Vietnam with the launch of 2 new collections, to thank customers for their companionship throughout the journey.


With the message "Thank you Vietnam - Always keep the trust", Uniqlo brings a celebration program with a series of customer appreciation activities and many attractive gifts, taking place across Uniqlo's retail and online stores from November 29 to December 5. The program promises to continue to connect the brand with the community, while bringing positive contributions to the common development of Vietnamese people and society.

Looking back on Uniqlo's 5-year journey in Vietnam, Mr. Nishida Hideki, General Director of Uniqlo Vietnam, shared: "5 years has been a proud and memorable journey for all of us. In 2019, we opened the first Uniqlo store in Vietnam, and after 5 years, Uniqlo has been present in major cities across the country. This is an important milestone when the Uniqlo brand has always received the support and trust of Vietnamese customers."

Exclusive collection "UT Mickey Mouse in Vietnam" and "UTme! Folklore Chronicles" with Vietnamese character

Uniqlo has collaborated with The Walt Disney Company to bring the "UT Mickey Mouse in Vietnam" collection, inspired by traditional cuisine and costumes. The collection celebrates the uniqueness of Vietnamese street culture with patterns recreating the image of the conical hat, the ao dai, and dishes such as banh mi, fish, and fried beef balls.

The collection includes 4 designs for both men and women, available from November 29 at all 26 Uniqlo retail stores in Vietnam and Uniqlo Online.

In addition, in the spirit of honoring Vietnamese identity, Uniqlo collaborated with young artist Chung Pham to launch the collection "UTme! Folklore". The collection is designed with unique folk motifs, recreating familiar images such as shoulder poles, cyclos and water puppetry, bringing a cultural breath that is close but impressive and modern.

Talking about the collection "UTme! Folklore", young artist Chung Pham shared: "As a Vietnamese, I am proud to say that Vietnam is a country with a unique folk culture that many people do not have many opportunities to access. From the perspective of a young person, and also an artist who loves using folk materials to express through the language of painting, I wish to bring these long-standing cultural features closer to more young people and international friends."

The "UTme! Folklore" collection will be available at Uniqlo Dong Khoi, Uniqlo Saigon Centre (HCMC), Uniqlo Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach, Uniqlo Hoan Kiem (Hanoi) stores from November 29.

5th Anniversary Celebration with Exclusive Shopping Offers and Gifts

In addition to the launch of unique collections, Uniqlo also offers many attractive promotions for iconic LifeWear products and many attractive gifts for customers for 3 days from November 29 to December 1.

With a bill of VND 1,699 million or more, customers will receive a "Made in Vietnam" tote bag with a unique design created by Uniqlo in collaboration with Vuon Illustration. The first 100 customers each day also have the opportunity to receive other gratitude gifts such as limited edition pins (Uniqlo Dong Khoi) and traditional figurines created by artisan Dang Van Hau (Uniqlo Hoan Kiem).
