Special series of activities "Youth with traditional culture"

(Fatherland) - From March 1 to 31, 2025, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, March activities will take place with the theme "Youth with traditional culture" including practical and meaningful activities associated with the love and responsibility of the young generation for ethnic culture at the "Common House".

Activities that connect the love and responsibility of the young generation with the national culture at the "Common House", along with many festivals and folk song and dance activities bringing the atmosphere of spring and youthful energy contribute to attracting tourists, connecting and promoting local and regional cultural tourism; creating an environment and conditions for groups to meet, exchange and spread the love of traditional culture.

Activities associated with the love and responsibility of the young generation for national culture at the "Common House", along with festivals and folk song and dance activities bringing the atmosphere of spring and youthfulness.

According to information from the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, the March activities had the participation of about 100 people from 16 ethnic groups (Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) with the participation of 11 localities and highlights of the localities where people have daily activities (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi , Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Soc Trang).

Along with that, about 30 Tay and Nung ethnic groups from Thai Nguyen province were mobilized from March 7-10. On March 22 and 23, about 30 Mong ethnic artisans from Nghe An province were mobilized.

The March events associated with the love of youth for traditional culture will take place with activities honoring the traditional cultural colors of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province. A typical activity is the reenactment of an excerpt from the peace-praying ritual of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province. This ritual aims to thank heaven and earth for giving the village, clan, family, and health at the beginning of the new year, praying for a year of peace, warmth, and prosperity.

The exchange program "Spring days forever echo Then verses" creates a joyful, exciting, warm atmosphere imbued with national traditions, demonstrating the unique diversity of Thai Nguyen province's culture. Activities to display and introduce typical cultural products of Thai Nguyen province; Tea cultural space "Thai Nguyen - convergence and radiance".

Along with that, the colorful cultural activities of the Mong ethnic group in Nghe An province with "traditional cultural experiences with the Mong ethnic group in Nghe An" will take place with the activity of reenacting excerpts of the New Year's ceremony of the Mong ethnic group in Nghe An province. After the ceremony, there will be a folk song and dance exchange of the Mong people and traditional folk games: playing games such as playing the gong, throwing pao, dancing the panpipe and singing cuxia, singing and responding to love songs...

Prayer ritual of Tay people in Thai Nguyen

The folk song and dance exchange program "Spring Festival of the Mountains and Forests" of the Mong ethnic group will bring a program of singing, dancing, and music by Mong ethnic artists through musical activities and performances telling the story of the beauty of the mountains and forests when spring comes. Along with the activities of introducing and performing Khen dance, Bo Bo throwing festival (Pao throwing) and experiencing the traditional culture of the Mong ethnic group in Nghe An.
