On September 8, comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee inspected the recovery from storm No. 3 in Tien Yen .

As of 9am this morning, the flood on Tien Yen River was still rising. Directing the handling of storm No. 3 in Tien Yen, comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, requested the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Tien Yen district to direct communes and towns to mobilize maximum local forces, coordinate with Tien Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to trim and collect trees that have fallen due to the storm, ensuring smooth traffic; Tien Yen Electricity focuses on overcoming local power outages, ensuring power supply during the day; directs the review of households whose houses have been affected by the storm to have a solution.
He noted that localities need to pay attention to proactive plans to prevent landslides and flash floods caused by heavy rains due to post-storm circulation; propagate to people not to be subjective in going to dams and spillways to collect firewood; review high-risk areas leading to landslides and flash floods caused by post-storm circulation; focus on overcoming the consequences of the storm, and soon stabilize life after the storm.
The comrade inspected the Tien Yen spillway bridge; Dong Dinh hamlet suspension bridge, Phong Du commune; and the vulnerable Ha Thanh dike, Dong Hai commune. This is a dike with a length of nearly 1,000m, responsible for protecting the lives of nearly 200 households with nearly 700 people, Ha Trang Tay hamlet, Dong Hai commune. The comrade requested that the locality proactively monitor floods on the Ha Thanh river to have a plan to evacuate people to a safe place when floods overflow the dike, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.

According to quick statistics of Tien Yen district, as of 12:00 on September 8, storm No. 3 caused no human casualties. There were 249 houses with their roofs blown off, including 6 houses with their roofs completely blown off, 243 houses with their roofs partially blown off; 210 hectares of rice and crops were flooded; over 3,000 forestry trees were broken. Regarding livestock, about 2,400 poultry were damaged. About 40 high-voltage power poles and telecommunication poles were broken. Over 3,100 trees were broken and many billboards, lighting, and decorative lights were broken, with total estimated damage of over 373 billion VND.
Up to now, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Tien Yen district continues to direct according to the 4-on-the-spot principle to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
