"Those good qualities have helped Ho Chi Minh City overcome challenges, basically completing the targets and tasks for 2024 in most areas, creating a premise for a new development stage," Secretary Nguyen Van Nen expressed. The leader of Ho Chi Minh City also noted that the city still has issues that cannot be satisfied, many targets are not achieved at a high level, many things that want to be done but have not been done. Specifically, the city's economic growth has not been commensurate with its potential, and there has not been a breakthrough in building infrastructure and developing human resources.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, over the years, the relationship between the city's leaders and the intellectual community has become increasingly close. He affirmed that the city's intellectual community has not only grown in quantity but also continuously increased in quality, and its age is constantly getting younger. "The city always has 3 groups of intellectuals, like 3 pillars that are always close and ready to share and support. The first group is young intellectuals managed by the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies; "The group of senior intellectuals led by the Oriental Development Research Institute and the group of Vietnamese intellectuals abroad are always ready to gather when necessary" - said Secretary Nguyen Van Nen. Mr. Nguyen Van Nen also informed that recently, Ho Chi Minh City has institutionalized many mechanisms and policies to attract and treat intellectuals, but there are still many limitations. The city will find ways to overcome the limitations, to attract and create more companionship from the intellectual team.
