Innovating measurement activities, supporting businesses to improve competitiveness

(QNO) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to strengthen and innovate measurement activities to support businesses in improving their competitiveness and international integration in Quang Nam province until 2030.

The plan sets a specific target of training and improving professional expertise in measurement for at least 100 people participating in measurement activities by 2025. Implementing the Measurement Assurance Program according to the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology through inspection, calibration, testing of measuring instruments, measurement standards and activities to develop measurement methods for at least 4 organizations and enterprises. By 2030, training and improving professional expertise in measurement for at least 200 people participating in measurement activities.

To achieve the above goals, the plan sets out the following tasks and solutions: Reviewing legal documents, policy mechanisms and lists of key production and business sectors and fields that need to strengthen and innovate measurement activities to support provincial enterprises, improve competitiveness and international integration.

Promote the socialization of measurement activities; apply mechanisms and policies to promote the commercialization of products from research results in the field of measurement, application and development of measurement science and technology.

Continue to implement support measures as prescribed to enhance the capacity and operations of business organizations providing inspection, calibration, and testing services for measuring instruments and measurement standards.
