HUAWEI TruSense, new health monitoring technology for wearables

Huawei has launched the HUAWEI TruSense system, marking a new milestone in bringing scientific technology to users to provide precise health management. The first HUAWEI TruSense-enabled products will be launched globally in September 2024.

To ensure the accuracy of continuous vital signs measurement and deliver faster results, Huawei has invested heavily in optical, electronic, and material science research, with the goal of overcoming the challenges of skin color, wrist size, and weather differences. As a result, the accuracy of indicators such as heart rate, SpO2, and blood pressure has been certified by industry authorities.

HUAWEI TruSense measures more than 60 health and fitness indicators, covering 6 body systems and emotional health index. The sensor automatically measures heart rate and nervous system data. This data is used for the emotion and stress assessment algorithm, making it easy for users to achieve a healthy body and a healthy mind.

The flexibility, openness, and continuous improvement of the HUAWEI TruSense System empowers partners from around the world and across the digital health ecosystem to help shape the future of health and fitness technology. Huawei has collaborated with more than 150 partners to conduct pioneering research in areas ranging from remote healthcare to family health management.

Speaking at the launch event of HUAWEI TruSense, Rico Zhang, President of Huawei Wearables and Health, said: “HUAWEI TruSense is a major breakthrough for Huawei in health and fitness sensor technology, which has helped us maintain our leading position in the market. This technological upgrade will help users continue to pursue a healthier lifestyle every day.”

Huawei entered the wearables market 11 years ago, and to date, the number of products exported globally has reached more than 150 million with more than 520 million Huawei Health app users.
