It is known that businessman Do Quang Hien is a former student of class K24 - majoring in Physics at the University of General Sciences (now VNU). On June 30, 2022, at the first meeting of the Executive Board of the VNU Business Alumni Club, Mr. Do Quang Hien was elected as Chairman of the VNU Business Alumni Club - a gathering place of 28 members of the Executive Board who are outstanding alumni and successful businessmen doing business in key economic sectors of the country.
In order to contribute to the development of VNU in particular, as well as to the general development of science, technology and education in Vietnam in general, in recent times, businessman Do Quang Hien and his businesses have implemented many cooperation programs, support and sponsorship for the activities of VNU and generations of students and postgraduates of the university. These include: comprehensive strategic cooperation agreements and specific cooperation in many fields between T&T Group and VNU; cooperation in building and developing a hospital system according to a high-quality medical model, meeting international standards in Vietnam between T&T Group and VNU; cooperation between SHB and VNU to implement high-quality educational projects to improve the quality of human resources, develop the "SHB - VNU Corebanking Practice Center", build a "High-quality Banking and Finance Technology Human Resources Training Center" in Hoa Lac, etc.
Notably, the cooperation network between VNU and T&T Group is a pioneer in cooperation between a university and a private corporation to promote research and transfer of science and technology, not only in investment in construction and development of facilities, finance, etc., but also has important significance in improving the quality of training, scientific research and promoting knowledge transfer to create a high-quality ecosystem.
In addition, VNU and T&T Group have also established a Young Talent Development Fund at VNU. Every year, T&T Group will provide funding to award scholarships to students, postgraduates, and support young talents. Initially, T&T Group has sponsored 5 billion VND to the Young Talent Incubation Fund for PhD students and postdoctoral interns with excellent research capacity at VNU.

In addition, Mr. Do Quang Hien, T&T Group and SHB Bank also sponsored 5 billion VND for the Operation Fund of the Entrepreneur Alumni Club, 5 billion VND for the Young Talent Incubation Fund to help nurture PhD students and post-doctoral interns with excellent research capacity, 5 billion VND to develop VNU Holdings, donated water filtration systems for student dormitories, sponsored trees in Hoa Lac and co-sponsored the 2022 Investment Promotion Conference, along with many other sponsorship programs for staff, lecturers and students of VNU.
In the coming time, many cooperation programs between VNU and T&T Group, SHB Bank will be implemented such as: Center for excellent training and research in Banking and Finance Technology, VNU Heritage Road, Project on Developing value chain for medicinal plants in Thai Binh...
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Prof. Dr. Le Quan affirmed that businessman Do Quang Hien possesses three important elements: an outstanding businessman with many contributions to the country's socio-economic development; a patriotic intellectual with many contributions to the country's science, education and health care; and a successful alumnus who always looks back to his old school with deep feelings, responsibility and gratitude.

The success of businessman Do Quang Hien is a clear demonstration of the achievements in the career of cultivating people of VNU, adding to the rich tradition of VNU”, emphasized Prof. Dr. Le Quan.
At the ceremony, businessman Do Quang Hien expressed his gratitude to VNU and his teachers for helping him gain a foundation of comprehensive thinking, basic knowledge and necessary skills, especially in business administration, so that he can overcome difficulties and challenges, promptly seize opportunities to build and develop T&T Group and SHB Bank, contributing to the development of the country. This is an invaluable asset, the luggage for him to have the achievements he has today.

This is not only VNU’s recognition of my personal companionship and contribution to T&T Group and SHB Bank; it is also a motivation for me to continue to strive, dedicate myself, and do more to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country in general and of VNU, T&T Group and SHB Bank in particular,” businessman Do Quang Hien emphasized.
Mr. Do Quang Hien also believes that with its long tradition, the attention of the Party and the State, the efforts of the Board of Directors and staff of VNU, the cooperation of alumni and the business community, VNU will develop more and more strongly, soon stand among the world's leading universities, leading the national education.
Currently, in addition to his role as Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank, businessman Do Quang Hien is also Chairman of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme); Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Vinasme).
Notably, with his dedication and positive contributions to the development of the country's socio-economy, Mr. Do Quang Hien is also one of the few businessmen in the private economic sector to be honored by the Party and State leaders with the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals for his outstanding achievements in production and business, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; was honored by the Hanoi People's Committee as an Outstanding Citizen of the Capital in 2018 - a noble title of the city to honor individuals with outstanding, outstanding achievements, leading in each field of life, economy, society and national security and defense; made special contributions to the cause of building and developing the Capital and being a shining example that has spread throughout the social community; and was awarded the 2017 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) by Enterprise Asia - Asia's leading non-governmental organization.
T&T Group is also one of the few private economic groups honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal twice; SHB Bank was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal twice along with many Certificates of Merit and Emulation Flags from the Government, Hanoi City and central and local ministries, branches.
