As a unit with a large workload of tens of thousands of businesses carrying out procedures and millions of declarations each year, Hai Phong Customs identifies the task of reforming administrative procedures, facilitating trade, and contributing to attracting investment to the area as one of the key, continuous tasks.
According to Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Duy Ngoc, over the years, the unit has always focused on administrative reform, customs modernization, and promoting the development of Customs-Business partnership under the motto of "taking businesses as the center of service". At the same time, receiving difficulties and recommendations from the business community to promptly resolve or propose and advise competent authorities on solutions to remove difficulties, accompany, support, and facilitate the sustainable development of the business community.
In 2024, Hai Phong Customs identified key tasks and solutions for administrative procedure reform, customs modernization, and trade facilitation such as: strengthening customs supervision and management at all stages, ensuring compliance with the operating mechanism, procedural order according to the development orientation, operating the digital customs management model, modernizing monitoring equipment, improving the capacity of state management of customs while facilitating trade for import-export activities and foreign investment, in accordance with international practices and standards.
Focus on risk management at all stages of operations, collect and analyze key risk information to implement inspection and supervision measures to ensure effective implementation of state management of customs and facilitate trade activities.
Actively implement digital transformation in the spirit of innovation, creativity, comprehensiveness and practicality; promote administrative reform and customs modernization; continue to develop the Customs - Business partnership in a practical and effective manner to facilitate import and export activities while ensuring state management of customs.
Unblocking the flow of import and export goods
According to the Customs Magazine, representatives of the import-export business community in Hai Phong and businesses outside the area but carrying out procedures at Hai Phong Customs have acknowledged and highly appreciated the unit's efforts to reform and clear the flow of import-export goods.
Ms. Tran Thuy Trang, Deputy General Director of Jasan Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP Hai Phong Urban, Industrial and Service Area, Thuy Trieu Commune, Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong) said that the company was established in 2014, is a Chinese FDI enterprise, with a total investment capital of 1,100 billion VND, and an average annual revenue of 2,500 billion VND. The main field of activity is the production and export of high-end socks to the markets of the United States, Japan, Europe, etc.
After 10 years of investment in Hai Phong, the Company has felt the strong and clear changes in administrative procedure reform, facilitation of departments and branches of Hai Phong City, especially the reform of customs procedures.
