The Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025 are organized by the People's Committee of Phu Tho province from March 29 to April 7 (from March 1 to 10 of the lunar calendar) at the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site, Hung Kings Square, Viet Tri city. Within the framework of the festival, there are many unique activities, carrying the spirit of the Hung Kings' era, inherited and continued in contemporary society. Within the framework of this year's festival, Phu Tho province organizes a series of unique cultural, sports and tourism events. The activities are imbued with the national spirit, arousing love for the homeland and country, bringing each Vietnamese person back to their sacred roots.

Sharing his emotions when offering incense for the first time at Hung Temple - a sacred place associated with the origin of the nation, Mr. Tran Quang Hien (a Thai expatriate) shared that he clearly felt a deep connection with his homeland and the Fatherland; grateful and proud of the heroic history of his ancestors, especially the merits of building and defending the country of the Hung Kings as well as the sacrifices of the previous generation. Along with overseas Vietnamese returning to the homeland, the Thai expatriate said that no matter where they live, study and work, not only he but all overseas Vietnamese are deeply aware of the responsibility to preserve and promote the fine traditions of the nation, join hands to contribute to building a prosperous and strong country, entering a new era of the nation.

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen (a Korean expatriate) said that she clearly felt the sacred atmosphere of the Hung Kings Temple as well as the sincerity of all the people when they came here to burn incense to commemorate the merits of the Hung Kings, including the group of overseas Vietnamese returning from many countries around the world. Coming here, to her, the two words "compatriots" became more sacred than ever.

As a child who has been away from home for more than 20 years, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen said, the incense offering ceremony at Hung Temple is not only a journey back to the source but also a reminder of the origin of each Lac Hong descendant, of the responsibility of each Vietnamese child, no matter where they are, what they do, they must preserve and promote good traditions; turn to their homeland, and contribute their efforts to build the country.

"No matter where you go, remember the anniversary of the ancestors on March 10th. I will educate my children and grandchildren, and share with the younger generations of overseas Vietnamese that, no matter where they are, they must remember their roots, their ancestors, and the beautiful culture of the nation," the Korean overseas Vietnamese shared.

According to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Hung Kings Commemoration Day (10th day of the third lunar month) is one of Vietnam's national holidays, reflecting the tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking water" of our nation. The activity strengthens the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland and country, promotes the tradition of turning to their roots and showing gratitude to their ancestors; thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting good cultural values in the Vietnamese community around the world, strengthening and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

This year, the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation program to offer incense to commemorate the Hung Kings took place over 2 days, from April 3-4 (ie March 6-7 of the lunar calendar), instead of being held for 1 day like previous years), including main activities such as: Offering incense, holding a ceremony to report achievements at Hung Temple, meeting with leaders of Phu Tho province; visiting and working with the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, giving charity gifts; Incense offering ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh Temple, visiting some locations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relic site...
