Delegation of National Assembly of Hai Phong city meets voters of Duong Kinh district to prepare for the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of September 25, the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong city met with voters of Duong Kinh district to prepare for the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.
Attending the meeting were the city's National Assembly delegates: Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Major General Vu Thanh Chuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of the City Police; Tong Van Bang, Head of the Organizing Committee, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Also attending the meeting were comrades: Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and delegates representing the leaders and voters of Duong Kinh district.
At the meeting, delegate Tong Van Bang, Head of the Organizing Committee, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, informed voters about the expected content of the Program of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly; activities of the National Assembly Delegation since the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly to date. Accordingly, the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly will convene at the National Assembly House, opening on October 21, 2024 and is expected to close on November 30, 2024; the session will be held in 2 phases, phase 1 from October 21 to November 13, 2024; phase 2 from November 20 to November 30, 2024.
At the session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 16 laws, give opinions on 12 draft laws, and evaluate the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget for 2024; consider and decide on the socio-economic development plan, the state budget estimate, and the central budget allocation plan for 2025; consider the implementation of the public investment plan for 2024 and decide on the public investment plan for 2025; the implementation of the Constitution; implementation of the Laws and Resolutions of the National Assembly; Ordinances and Resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee... At the same time, consider personnel work under its authority; consider and decide on the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period; consider and decide on the investment policy of the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; conduct questions and answers... along with a number of other important contents.
At the meeting, voters of the district proposed that all levels and sectors pay attention to policies and mechanisms to support businesses when natural disasters, epidemics, fires, etc. occur; proposed to amend a number of regulations to resolve difficulties and shortcomings in implementing regulations on fire prevention and fighting at the grassroots level; and a number of policies and mechanisms for the militia and self-defense forces, etc.
District voters also raised a number of difficulties in land management and implementation of the Land Law effective from August 1, 2024; along with a number of difficulties and obstacles in implementing the ownership and determining the land origin of households with land within the scope of site clearance for projects in Hoa Nghia ward; a number of inappropriate situations arising from the practice in the process of site clearance in Duong Kinh district; proposed to resolve the issue of land allocation to 156 households in Tan Tien residential group, Tan Thanh ward; considered a number of contents on revoking suspended projects and ineffective projects affecting people's lives in Anh Dung ward...
At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Do Manh Hien shared the difficulties and damages in the area due to the impact of the recent storm No. 3; at the same time, he highly appreciated the efforts of the Party committees, authorities and local people in overcoming the consequences of the storm. Briefly reporting on the socio-economic situation of the country and the city in the past time, he emphasized that despite many difficulties and challenges, in the first 9 months of 2024, the city's socio-economic indicators, national defense and security and foreign affairs have all achieved important results, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Central Government.
On behalf of the City's National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee received the opinions and recommendations of voters and assigned relevant functional departments of the city to resolve issues within their authority. Issues under the authority of the Central Government will be compiled by the City's National Assembly Delegation and submitted to the National Assembly for resolution within their authority.
