Delegates visit the exhibition booth at Lang Son Provincial Museum

– On the morning of March 1, a delegation from the North Korean Embassy in Vietnam led by Comrade Ri Ho Jun, Charge d'Affaires of the North Korean Embassy in Vietnam, visited and worked in Lang Son on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and North Korea and the 5th anniversary of the official visit of North Korean President Kim Jong Un to Vietnam. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Northeast Asia Department - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and leaders of the Vietnam - North Korea Friendship Association.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs; leaders of relevant units.

Vietnam and North Korea established diplomatic relations in 1950. This is one of the earliest diplomatic relations of Vietnam. Over the past 74 years, the traditional friendship between the two Parties and the two countries, nurtured and built by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung, has been increasingly consolidated and developed. In the history of Vietnam-North Korea relations, mutual visits by the two supreme leaders have created a solid foundation, leaving a special mark on the friendship between the two countries.

In Lang Son, right after the event of North Korean President Kim Chang Un's official visit to Vietnam by train through Dong Dang International Transit Station in March 2019, the province directed relevant sectors to collect images, artifacts and decorations to build this place into a tourist destination for visitors. After 5 years of exhibition, up to now, the theme "Vietnam - North Korea relations, historical milestones" at the Provincial Museum has attracted nearly 100,000 visitors from inside and outside the province to visit and learn. Thereby, it has affirmed the interest and learning about the history of the friendly relationship between Vietnam and North Korea of ​​all classes of people, especially the young generation.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the history of Vietnam-DPRK diplomatic relations. They affirmed that over the past 73 years, the traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries, nurtured and built by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung, has been increasingly consolidated and developed.

On behalf of the delegation of the Korean Embassy, ​​the Charge d'Affaires of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam thanked the leaders of Lang Son province for their attention in directing relevant sectors to build an exhibition booth with many valuable images and artifacts of the visits of the leaders of the two Parties and two countries and the province's warm and thoughtful reception for the delegation. At the same time, he affirmed that the close cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea over the past 74 years has been growing; he hoped that through the exhibition and propaganda activities, visitors would better understand the good traditional relationship between the two countries.

Through this, it contributes to fostering and developing the friendly relationship between Vietnam and North Korea to become better and better.
