On the morning of December 16, a delegation from the Republic of Benin led by Mr. Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Cossi Gaston Dossohoui, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock visited and worked in Thai Binh. Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave a brief overview of the geographical location, potential strengths and outstanding achievements of Thai Binh province in socio-economic development, investment attraction, especially foreign investment attraction of Thai Binh province. Thai Binh has a convenient transportation system and is a developing province with 10 industrial parks and 49 industrial clusters. In particular, Thai Binh Economic Zone has an area of over 30,500 hectares including 22 industrial parks along with preferential investment policies of the Government and the province, always ready to welcome investors. Thai Binh wishes to cooperate with Benin in many fields.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin hopes that the visit to Thai Binh will create a new beginning not only for the cooperative relationship between the two countries, but also between Thai Binh and Benin, and affirms that Benin is ready to be the gateway and focal point for Thai Binh to strengthen cooperation with African countries in general and West Africa in particular.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin hopes that Thai Binh will support, assist and cooperate with Benin in the fields of agriculture, education and training, health care, industrial development and people-to-people exchange. In the field of agriculture, Benin hopes to welcome experts from Thai Binh to share experiences, provide advice and support, including in developing agricultural production households. Benin also hopes that businesses from Thai Binh province will come to invest in the agricultural sector.
