On the afternoon of June 2, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the People's Committee of Vu Thu district on the socio-economic development situation, disbursement of public investment capital, removing difficulties in production and business, and proposing decentralization and authorization in performing the tasks of the Provincial People's Committee.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the total production value of Vu Thu district is estimated to reach more than 6,738 billion VND, an increase of 6.01% over the same period in 2022, reaching 46.17% of the 2023 plan; of which agriculture, forestry and fishery is estimated to increase by 2.5%; industry and construction is estimated to increase by 7.6% and trade and services are estimated to increase by 6.78%. State budget revenue in the first 6 months is estimated to be nearly 856 billion VND, of which total revenue in the area is estimated to reach nearly 134 billion VND; total district and commune budget expenditure is estimated to be nearly 591 billion VND. Disbursement of public investment capital in the first 6 months of the year is about more than 31 billion VND. Vu Thu district is focusing on harvesting spring rice with a total cultivated area of 7,681 hectares, striving to complete before June 15; At the same time, prepare the conditions for the 2023 winter-spring crop production. In the new rural construction, Vu Thu district is focusing on directing 4 communes: Minh Lang, Bach Thuan, Tu Tan, Dung Nghia to reach the advanced new rural finish line in 2023 and 3 communes: Song An, Tan Phong, Tan Hoa to reach the advanced new rural finish line in 2024. State management of natural resources and environment continues to receive attention and direction, with high attention paid to site clearance. Political security and social order and safety in the area are maintained and stable.

The leaders of Vu Thu District People's Committee reported to clarify some difficulties and problems and made proposals and recommendations in the process of solving local work in the following fields: agriculture; natural resources, environment and site clearance; industry, construction, trade and services; finance; culture and society.

In his concluding remarks, highly appreciating the results achieved by Vu Thu district, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also pointed out the shortcomings that need to be overcome, such as low production value, low efficiency of site clearance in some projects, slow progress in budget collection and disbursement of public investment capital, and a number of long-standing backlog cases that have not been thoroughly resolved.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested Vu Thu district to seriously and fully implement the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on grasping and removing difficulties and obstacles to promote production and business development; Vu Thu established a working group to work with a number of sectors and localities on that basis to promptly remove difficulties right at the grassroots level; focus on drastically implementing solutions to achieve the set goals and tasks, focusing on budget collection, actively implementing solutions to thoroughly collect remaining revenues; promote the advantages of the locality, promote agricultural development, especially high-tech agriculture, industry, trade and services, urban areas, and tourism, including connections with historical sites in the area in line with the development orientation of the province; focus on removing difficulties for businesses; direct the settlement of outstanding cases to ensure long-term stability; Focus on implementing discipline well, enhancing the sense of responsibility in performing assigned tasks of cadres, civil servants and public employees; strengthen administrative reform to create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses in the area; perform well the tasks of ensuring national defense and security, receiving people, and resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also responded to the recommendations and proposals of Vu Thu district; at the same time, assigned relevant departments and branches to study and advise on solutions according to their authority.
