Threatening to sue blogger for criticizing Maestro S800, Huawei gets counter-sued

In the test video, the 2025 Maestro S800 electric sedan can overcome all obstacles such as water, glass and sand without leaving a trace, while the Mercedes-Maybach S680 makes water splash and break the glass. These images quickly became a topic of debate in the car enthusiast community.

A blogger named Racing Frappuccino posted a video analyzing these tests, claiming that Huawei deliberately staged them to emphasize the advantages of the new model and put down its competitors.

In the tests, Huawei carefully calculated factors such as speed, weight and the depth of the water to ensure the car did not cause a disturbance. This comment raises questions about the authenticity of the tests announced by the car company.

Before the above statement, Huawei announced that it would sue the Racing Frappuccino blogger, demanding compensation of 140,000 USD (3.57 billion VND) for affecting the reputation of the car company. However, the Racing Frappuccino blogger publicly countersued Huawei , demanding a public apology and compensation of 2.5 million yuan (8.8 billion VND).

Maextro is a new car brand jointly developed by Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), and the S800 is the first product of this joint venture. Maextro is expected to compete with luxury car brands such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Maybach.
