The launch event for the new work took place in a warm and intimate atmosphere, blending music and poetry, at the 1968 Live Music venue. Composer Dang Le The Phi – Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts – attended and congratulated the author. In addition, the launch of the new work, "Fragrant Hands Touching Chrysanthemums in the Changing Wind," also featured performances and recitations by various voices, including teacher and poetry reciter Duong The Thuat, singer Lan Anh, singer Minh Duc, and especially the expressive reading by the author Nguyen Thi Lien Tam.
Numerous poetry lovers expressed their affection for the author through the carefully crafted verses in the main work, or poems like "Late Afternoons at the Sea," "A Clear Autumn Morning," "Autumn at the River Junction," "Oh, My Daisy," or the touch of melancholy in "Afternoon on Pho Hai Hill," and especially the works "Returning the Flower to its Roots" set to music by composer Phan Ni Tan, or "Begging for Food, My Dear" arranged and orchestrated by composer Huynh Khac Nhan, with the rich voice of Quoc Phu.
At the book launch, Mr. Dang Le The Phi expressed his feelings: “Author Nguyen Thi Lien Tam is a multi-talented poet, short story writer, literary critic, and poet. Perhaps in her poetry, Nguyen Thi Lien Tam has a very unique style and structure, all creating a beautiful poetic voice for a female poet, using everyday, simple images in her works to reflect on and contemplate herself. Nguyen Thi Lien Tam's works are often very relatable, easy to remember, and easy to read. Among them, I still like the poem "I Draw a Rose on You" the most; this is a poem I am currently developing into a musical work, and if completed soon, it could be presented at today's launch.”
Nguyen Thi Lien Tam's poetry is characterized by a gentle, tender, and emotionally rich voice, brimming with inner conflict. Yet, it is also soaring, romantic, and intellectual, blending modernity with tradition—the poetry of a poet with many feminine traits, deeply rooted in womanhood... Maintaining a pure and virtuous soul amidst the fickleness and deceit of life is no easy feat. Reading her poetry reveals the vastness of a human realm with countless gentle yet pure and pristine emotions.
