Mr. Nguyen Duy Nhat - Head of the Front Work Committee of Dong Tram Tay village (Que Phu commune) said that to join hands to build a model new rural residential area, people in the village actively contributed labor and donated land to join the State in building traffic infrastructure.
Typically, in 2022, when there was a policy to upgrade the DX1 route with a length of 2km and a road width of 5m, people highly agreed when the Commune and Village Fronts and local authorities went to each house to mobilize land clearance.
People quickly dismantled and relocated 920m of fences and 41 gates worth about 1.3 billion VND and voluntarily donated 4,100m2 of land and nearly 1,000 working days to build this road.
Mr. Le Viet Mau - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Que Phu commune said that in recent years, the Commune Front and its member organizations have promoted propaganda and mobilized people to agree to donate land to expand rural roads, invest in lighting systems, and build environmental protection models.
Over the past 5 years, the Commune Front has mobilized people to donate more than 15,000m² of land, hundreds of fences and gates, and thousands of working days to build an advanced new rural commune.
At the same time, 8 "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" routes were implemented; the model "Religious establishments and Buddhists join hands to protect the environment" was deployed... bringing practical results.
The Front also widely launched the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". Up to now, 98.3% of the commune's families have achieved the title of cultural family, and 13/17 ethnic groups have achieved the title of cultural family.
Along with promoting the role of people in building new rural areas, Que Phu Commune Front always strives to mobilize resources to care for people's lives.
According to Mr. Le Viet Mau, from 2019 to now, the Commune Front has mobilized more than 6 billion VND from the Fund for the Poor. From this fund, it has supported the construction and repair of 33 houses for poor households and those with housing difficulties; presented more than 7,700 gifts to people in difficult circumstances on the occasion of holidays; supported sudden difficulties and provided medical examination and treatment for 112 cases.
In addition, Que Phu Commune Front also promptly supported people affected by natural disasters and epidemics, gave gifts to students who overcame difficulties to study well...
"Thanks to the support of the Commune Front and the efforts of the people, Que Phu now has no poor households (except for 25 poor households under social protection), the number of near-poor households has decreased to 40 households" - Mr. Mau said.
