This afternoon, September 19, information from Huong Lap Border Guard Station said that due to the impact of storm No. 4, there was heavy rain in the area, causing some residential areas to be isolated and have minor landslides, so functional forces and local authorities are urgently implementing response measures and evacuating people to safety.

Due to the storm, this morning, September 19, in Huong Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, there was heavy to very heavy rain, causing the river water to rise rapidly, cutting off many traffic routes and residential areas.
Specifically, some spillways in the commune rose about 0.5 m; currently, in Tri village, Cuoi resettlement area, Tri is isolated due to high overflow water and cannot be passed through.
Particularly in the resettlement area of Cup village (Huong Lap commune), there was a slight landslide. To ensure safety, the locality coordinated with the border guards, police, and military forces to urgently evacuate 4 households with 15 people from the location at risk of landslides and flash floods.
In addition, on the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Highway, a slight landslide appeared at Km 169+100, but traffic here is currently operating normally.

According to the forecast of the Quang Tri Hydrometeorological Station, at 10:00 a.m. on September 19, the storm's eye was located in the coastal waters from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue provinces. The strongest wind was level 8-9, gusting to level 11.
In Con Co island district, there are strong winds of level 9, gusting to level 10; in Cua Viet town (Gio Linh district), there are gusts of level 8. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, storm No. 4 will move west at a speed of about 25 km/h.
Due to the impact of storm No. 4, in Huong Hoa district, the spillways of Cooc village (Huong Linh commune); Loa and Trum villages (Ba Tang commune); Bu village (Tan Lap commune); Lia di commune spillways in Xy commune and Huc Thuong spillways (Huc commune) were flooded by 0.5-1.0m.
In Dakrong district, points at A Ngo - A Bung spillway, Ta Rut - A Ngo culvert, Ly Ton (Ta Long) spillway and Lang Cat village culvert were flooded about 0.3-0.5m, causing traffic disruption.
