Over 1 million giant tiger prawns were released into the coastal area of Hon Da Bac (Da Bac Hamlet, Khanh Binh Tay Commune, Tran Van Thoi District) this morning (April 1) on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Fisheries Industry (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2025).
In addition, 10,000 baby sea crabs were released into coastal areas to regenerate aquatic resources.

This is an annual activity organized by the Department of Fisheries, Department of Agriculture and Environment in response to the Traditional Day of Vietnam Fisheries; launching a movement for the whole population to participate in protecting and developing aquatic resources; thereby gradually raising awareness and sense of responsibility of organizations and individuals in the work of protecting biodiversity, protecting the environment and restoring aquatic resources in the province.
Through this activity, the functional sector calls on each organization and individual in the province to be responsible when participating in fishing activities and join hands with the State to manage, protect, conserve, restore and develop aquatic resources; mobilize people, fishermen, Buddhist monks and nuns not to exploit, not to use fishing equipment and tools that affect the ecological environment, growth and conservation of released species. At the same time, minimize the use of electric shock, grid electricity, explosives, toxic substances, and prohibited fishing gear in fishing activities, moving towards ending destructive fishing.
