Determined 8 teams qualified to participate in the Hung Vuong Cup Volleyball Tournament

After 10 days of competition, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has finalized the list of 8 strong teams that have won tickets to the Hung Vuong Cup Volleyball Tournament 2025, including 4 men's teams and 4 women's teams. These are the names that have passed the first stage of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, to win the right to participate in this prestigious tournament.

After the exciting and dramatic matches in the first phase, the 8 best names in the men's and women's categories who won the right to participate in this year's Hung Vuong Cup have been officially revealed.

In the women's category, LPB Ninh Binh and VTV Binh Dien Long An were the first two teams to qualify for Phu Tho with a perfect record after the first 3 matches. Even though Long An lost heavily to Ninh Binh later, the position in the top 4 of the first phase of coach Thai Quang Lai and his team was still guaranteed.

Information - Dong Bac is the next name to participate in Hung Vuong Cup when defeating Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals thanks to the excellent performance of Nguyen Thi Phuong and Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh. The remaining team in the top 4 of phase 1 was determined when the Industrial and Commercial Bank (VietinBank) defeated its direct competitor - Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals after 4 sets.

In the men's category, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Northern Border Guards have early secured tickets to the Hung Vuong Cup after remaining undefeated in this year's National Championship. The two remaining teams in Phu Tho have emerged, with The Cong Tan Cang ranked 3rd and Da Nang sure to be in the top 4.

With the participation of these 8 excellent teams, the reigning Hung Vuong Cup champions VTV Binh Dien Long An and Border Guard will both face many difficulties on their journey to defend their throne.

The Hung Vuong Cup 2025 Volleyball Tournament - the annual tournament of the Vietnamese volleyball season for top teams will take place from April 3 to April 6 in Phu Tho. Unlike last year's tournament when the tournament selected the top 4 teams in 2023 in both men's and women's categories, the Hung Vuong Cup 2025 returns to the old format with the top 4 teams in the first phase of the National Volleyball Championship that same year getting tickets to compete in the "Homeland".
