(Fatherland) - Tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world made a pilgrimage to the National Historical and Cultural Relic - Au Co Temple (Hien Luong Commune, Ha Hoa District, Phu Tho Province) to pay homage, pay tribute to the merits of Au Co and pray for a lucky, peaceful and happy new year.
From early morning on February 16 (January 7, year of the Dragon), people and tourists from all over the provinces and cities came to the Au Co Temple in Hien Luong Commune, Ha Hoa District, Phu Tho Province to attend the incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Mother Au Co on the day of "Fairy Descent".
According to statistics from the organizing committee of the Au Co Temple Festival, from the first day of Tet until now, there have been nearly 20,000 visitors.
Today alone, it is estimated that more than 10,000 visitors came to offer incense.
Many tourists come from neighboring provinces such as Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang to offer incense to Mother Goddess.
Offerings are carefully prepared according to custom including incense, fruit, sticky rice and chicken...
As noon approached, after the ceremony, more and more visitors came to offer incense.
Although there were many tourists, the temple management board guided and divided the entrances and exits to ensure order.
Au Co Temple is a spiritual destination that Phu Tho people in particular and the whole country in general look to at the beginning of the new year. Pilgrimage to Au Co Temple is to commemorate the mother who gave birth to a sac of one hundred eggs, which hatched into one hundred children to become the origin of the two words "compatriots" that are closely linked to the Vietnamese people, and at the same time pray for a peaceful and happy new year!
