It's VinaPhone's turn to officially provide commercial 5G service

VinaPhone's 5G service is concentrated in key socio-economic areas in 63 provinces and cities, with no conditions for registering for new packages.

On December 20, VNPT Group officially announced the provision of commercial 5G services to Vietnamese users with an introduced speed of up to 1.5 Gbps. According to VNPT, at the time of the official provision of the service, VinaPhone 5G is present in 63 provinces and cities across the country, focusing on coverage and service provision in key economic and social areas such as: district administrative centers, industrial parks, seaports, airports, schools, hospitals, and tourist areas. All VinaPhone subscribers with 4G SIMs and 5G phones will be provided with the service when operating in the 5G coverage area without having to register for new 5G packages. According to Tuoi Tre Online 's experience at the time of launch, VinaPhone's 5G speed can reach nearly 2 Gbps. VinaPhone representative said that for traditional telecommunications services such as voice, voice quality on the 5G platform also increased by 20% compared to 4G. In particular, households and businesses can use 5G receivers, broadcast wifi at home, in the office at high speed. For economic sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, education, finance, energy... VinaPhone 5G is ready with Private 5G Network solutions (meeting specific requirements on speed, latency, connection density and integrated solutions), Network Slicing (personalizing 5G speed according to demand), Open RAN 5G (integrating other modern technologies to build solutions for each industry) supporting many different application models. Mr. Huynh Quang Liem, General Director of VNPT Group, said: “With the advanced 5G infrastructure ready, VNPT welcomes domestic and foreign enterprises and organizations to cooperate to continue expanding and enriching the ecosystem of digital solutions to meet the needs of innovation and digital transformation of agencies, businesses and the community”.
