Speaking at the contest, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized, "After half a century of construction and development, Da Nang has grown strongly, becoming a modern, civilized and livable city. Today's achievements are the crystallization of the heroic sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers, along with the solidarity, creativity and constant efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of the city".
The Flower Car and Boat Parade is not only a unique cultural activity but also has profound significance in honoring historical traditions, reflecting the city's development journey.
This is also an opportunity to introduce to domestic and international friends the image of a dynamic, integrated Da Nang that still preserves its traditional cultural identity.
This year’s event brought together 11 flower floats representing the following groups: Departments, agencies, and sectors; Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; Enterprises; and 08 districts. In addition, 20 flower boats from tourism businesses on the Han River also contributed to creating a colorful festival.
The elaborately designed floats and boats represent the traditional beauty, culture, history and innovative achievements of the city, promising to bring an impressive performance, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and visitors.
Vice President Nguyen Thi Anh Thi expressed her belief that, with the sense of responsibility, creativity and meticulous investment of the participating units, each flower car and flower boat is not only a work of art but also conveys meaningful messages, spreading pride and love for the homeland.
On the wide open streets of the city, on the poetic Han River, flower car models and flower boats will be like brilliant flower baskets, bringing to people beautiful emotions about the beloved city.
