This is the program "Innovation and Heritage Preservation in the Digital World" that the parties will jointly implement after the agreement was signed on March 28 in Hanoi between the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Preservation Support Fund and the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, the CDIT Institute of Information and Communications Technology, and the TikTok platform.
The purpose of the cooperation program is to preserve and promote the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage on digital platforms.
Call for creative content about the country's cultural heritage
Accordingly, a hashtag challenge campaign #DiSanVietNam on TikTok will be launched, calling on the community to create content about the country's cultural heritage.
Heritage sites will also be vividly and elaborately recreated using virtual reality technology, helping users explore landmarks, museums and works of art through digital space.
And field trips to museums, monuments, etc. by young content creators will be recorded and posted on the TikTok platform to promote local heritage.
What is valuable will spread.
Faced with doubts that serious, old, and less entertaining content like Heritage can attract young people on the social networking platform TikTok, which shows that simple entertainment content attracts viewers, Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh - representative of TikTok Vietnam, expressed optimism.
For example, the organizers will invite small groups of small groups of content creators to visit the Museum of Fine Arts.
With the fascinating story of the precious paintings in the museum, he believes that young digital content creators, with their creativity and approachable style, will have a way to tell experiences with cultural heritage that is very attractive to young people.
Mr. Thanh said that in fact, there are videos about such cultural heritage on TikTok that have reached 5-7 million views.
“Whatever is valuable will be spread and people will keep it longer,” said Mr. Lam Thanh.
Singer Ha Myo also believes that promoting media heritage on digital platforms will be effective. She affirmed that “this is an era that strongly supports the young generation in connecting the past with the present to bring Vietnamese culture to the international level”.
