TPO - Hai Phong City leaders have just proposed the National Assembly Economic Committee and the Ministry of Transport to study and consider investing in the section from Nam Hai Phong station to Nam Do Son station under the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in phase 1, to be completed before 2030.
TPO - Hai Phong City leaders have just proposed the National Assembly Economic Committee and the Ministry of Transport to study and consider investing in the section from Nam Hai Phong station to Nam Do Son station under the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project in phase 1, to be completed before 2030.
On February 4, Mr. Nguyen Minh Son - Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, together with leaders of Hai Phong City, conducted a field survey of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project at the Lach Huyen Port railway station.
The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway has a main line of more than 388km, including 36 stations. Of which, the section passing through Hai Phong is a main line of 46km and 2 branch lines of 20km (Nam Hai Phong station - Do Son station and Nam Dinh Vu station - Dinh Vu station).
The design speed of the main line is 160km/h, the branch line is 80km/h. According to the design, the railway line through Hai Phong includes 6 stations: Nam Hai Phong, Tan Vien, Nam Dinh Vu, Dinh Vu, Lach Huyen Port, Nam Do Son.

At the survey, the representative of Hai Phong City's leadership proposed that the National Assembly's Economic Committee and the Ministry of Transport study and consider investing in the section from Nam Hai Phong station to Nam Do Son station and that the Nam Do Son station project be implemented in phase 1, to be completed before 2030.
Hai Phong City leaders proposed to study technical solutions and current land use status for the railway to run parallel to and closely follow the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway and Tan Vu - Lach Huyen highway according to the city's general planning orientation to ensure minimizing land funds between the routes and having a plan to handle intersections across existing roads; develop plans and have specific solutions to ensure traffic safety, environmental sanitation, dust and noise in the section passing through residential areas, ensuring life.
