The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced that it has completed the Project on support policies for employees working at specialized schools and public centers supporting the development of inclusive education in the city.
The project is currently seeking opinions from relevant departments and branches before submitting it to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for review and approval. This project stems from the fact that current support policies, including preferential allowances and responsibility allowances, only apply to managers and teachers of specialized schools; teaching subsidies are for teachers who teach children with disabilities to integrate into public schools, while the positions of service staff at specialized schools and centers supporting the development of inclusive education have not received any support.
Recently, at the conference to review special education work in the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Bao Quoc affirmed that specialized schools and centers supporting the development of inclusive education need to be more proactive in implementing the policy of socialization to increase resources for the unit, thereby improving educational efficiency. In the context of difficult human resources and financial conditions, the city will continue to pay much attention to helping schools balance human resources and ensure financial resources to improve operational efficiency.
