This morning (June 12), candidates taking the entrance exam for specialized Literature classes at specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training completed the 150-minute Literature exam.

According to the announcement of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training on the number of students registering for admission to grade 10 specialized high schools in the 2023-2024 school year, the whole city has 11,283 students registering for specialized high schools and schools with specialized classes. The total quota for the specialized system of these schools is 1,750.

Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted has the largest number of candidates registered for the exam, over 4,000 candidates. Next is Chu Van An High School with over 3,000 candidates, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with over 2,800 candidates, Son Tay High School with over 1,100.

Each candidate can register for specialized classes at 2 of the 4 high schools: Hanoi - Amsterdam High School, Nguyen Hue High School, Chu Van An High School, Son Tay High School. Students can register for the same specialized subject at two schools, but must prioritize in order of priority: first choice school and second choice school.

Students can register for different specialized subjects at two schools, provided that the exam dates for those specialized subjects do not overlap.
