Promote the movement of writing innovative experiences among staff and teachers

Responding to the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in teaching" and the campaign "Each teacher is a model of morality, self-study and creativity", over the past years, along with maintaining and promoting the quality of teaching and learning, the provincial Department of Education and Training (DET) has focused on launching a movement to write creative experiences (SKKN) of cadres and teachers. After each school year, thousands of SKKN are created, contributing significantly to improving the quality of teaching and learning.

From the 2022-2023 school year up to now, the initiative "Experience in designing mind maps in teaching English at Kim Thai Primary School" by teacher Dang Thi Hong, Kim Thai Primary School (Vu Ban) has been applied in teaching for students of the whole school. With mind maps, the content of the teaching - speaking topic is placed in the center of the map, helping both the speaker and the listener clearly identify the focus. New information or ideas about the presentation content are added by drawing additional branches on the map. Students receive the lesson naturally and proactively build their lessons according to the teacher's instructions. Teacher Hong shared: “Primary school students are very sensitive to language. However, the previous method of teaching English was often to list new words and sentence structures of the topic of the day on the board. This made students bored, slow to memorize words, and there was no connection between vocabulary and sentence structure in the lesson. When applying this method to teaching, most students were more interested in participating in English lessons. They memorized the lesson right in class, quickly, deeply and accurately remembered the lesson content. They were more confident and bold when participating in speaking and presenting in front of the class. In particular, students proactively created mind maps to practice speaking at home, thereby improving the quality of English teaching at school.” Ms. Tran Thi Phuong, Principal of Kim Thai Primary School, commented: "Ms. Hong's initiative contributes to the formation and development of thinking and ability to approach English for primary school students, bringing practical results in improving the quality of teaching and learning at the school. In the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of students completed and completed the subject curriculum content well. At the Grade 5 English Speaking Contest, the school won 5 district-level prizes, 2 provincial-level prizes; in grade 4, 4 students won district-level prizes."

To improve the quality of teaching, in 2023, a group of teachers including Ms. Pham Thi Diu, Pham Thi Thuan, Vu Thi Len, Tran Huy Lieu Secondary School (Vu Ban) proposed an initiative to design and use digital teaching equipment in teaching Natural Science, effectively applying it in teaching at school. Ms. Pham Thi Diu, Vice Principal of Tran Huy Lieu Secondary School, co-author of the initiative, said: “In the implementation of textbook innovation, in the Natural Science subject of grade 7, chemical elements are prescribed to be named according to international names (IUPAC) instead of reading according to Vietnamese transcription as before. This causes difficulties for teachers and students who are used to teaching and learning in the old way. Therefore, the group of authors designed a digital teaching device called "Electronic Periodic Table of Chemical Elements" with pronunciations and transcriptions of international names standardized according to American English in the Cambridge and Oxford dictionaries. The content of the product is a digitized periodic table of chemicals, helping users interact and search for information." With the electronic periodic table of chemical elements, users who want to learn about an element just need to move the mouse to the element box with the symbol of that element, then the periodic table will provide information such as: Pronunciation of the international name of the chemical element, the international name of the chemical element, with transcription, chemical symbols of the elements, atomic number, atomic mass, electron configuration of the atom, atomic configuration according to Rutherford - Bohr intuitively. After downloading, the device can be easily used without an internet connection, helping teachers use it during class time, and can replace pictures or PowerPoint. After being shared and widely posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Training to be included in the common digital learning materials warehouse, many teachers across the country have learned about and used this device in teaching. Most teachers have responded very positively when using it. For 7th grade students, this is the first time they are introduced to Natural Science, but with this device, they are always proactive in class, actively building lessons in a lively atmosphere. This device is downloaded by students and used in the process of self-study at home. The SKKN of the school's group of teachers has contributed to solving the problem of lack of teaching equipment when implementing the 2018 General Education Program, helping to improve the effectiveness and quality of education of the school.

The SKKN writing movement has become a meaningful activity for teachers at all levels for many years. Every year, the Department of Education and Training has actively directed the implementation to schools in the whole province on solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning through the research and application of SKKN in teaching. The SKKN writing movement continues to be maintained and promoted in both quantity and quality in all units. Depending on the characteristics of each level of education and the approach of each teacher, the SKKN are expressed relatively richly in content and presentation. The topics are therefore not only focused on the main subjects and main activities, but are studied and researched by teachers in all subjects and activities being taught and organized at the school. In many schools, writing SKKN is a channel for teachers to improve the quality of teaching, contributing to building a synchronous and friendly educational environment, where students can study and develop comprehensively in terms of physical, mental, cognitive and necessary life skills. Also from researching and writing SKKN, teachers can clearly understand and apply innovations in teaching methods in each part and subject that they are in charge of; know how to overcome difficult conditions in terms of facilities in the school to perfect their own teaching methods; promote students' creativity with active teaching methods and teaching techniques suitable for the subject they are in charge of.

From 2023 to present, the provincial Department of Education and Training has had more than 790 SKKN of teachers recognized for their scope of influence and effectiveness at the sectoral and provincial levels. The initiatives focus on solving new and practical problems such as: Measures to improve the quality of key education; forming life skills for students; applying information technology in teaching; improving the management capacity of educational managers, teachers and staff. The Department of Education and Training selected and proposed the Department of Science and Technology to consider and recognize the scope of influence at the provincial level for 123 initiatives. These practical and effective initiatives have contributed to improving the quality of education in schools today.
