To improve the quality of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) has directed high schools, continuing education centers, and vocational education and continuing education centers to effectively implement the school year's tasks according to the Department's instructions; proactively adjust the school's education plan in accordance with practical conditions, ensuring the completion of the program progress according to the school year schedule in Decision No. 1708/QD-UBND dated August 12, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee.
Schools should step up consultation, survey and let 12th graders register for 2 elective subjects (along with 2 compulsory subjects: Math and Literature) to proactively plan their review, diversify testing and assessment methods, and exchange exam questions between high schools in the province. Differentiate teaching according to students' abilities, divide students into groups so that each group can review with a different method to ensure effectiveness. Closely follow the review instructions according to the orientation of the Reference Questions for the High School Graduation Exam from 2025 issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In particular, teachers, especially homeroom teachers and student psychological counseling boards of schools, coordinate with students' families to pay attention to and closely monitor their learning situation and psychological developments and organize psychological counseling and learning support for students, especially final year students and students with difficult family circumstances, ensuring that all students fully learn the content of the curriculum. Conduct surveys and register for extra classes at schools without collecting fees for students whose final semester subject learning results are at the level of "Not Satisfactory" (if any students register) according to Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT; organize regular and periodic testing and evaluation according to the provisions of Circular No. 22/2021/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating the assessment of junior high school and high school students; Circular No. 43/2021/TT/BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates the assessment of students studying the Continuing Education Program at the junior high school and high school levels. The questions must be consistent with the program's requirements and not put pressure on students to study more.
Tong Van Tran High School (Y Yen) has 11 12th grade classes with 495 students this school year. Currently, the school is making efforts to complete the educational program according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training and conduct high school graduation exam review for 12th grade students. Teachers ensure maximum teaching according to the teaching schedule; Arrange for qualified teachers to teach graduation exam preparation for 12th grade students. Survey the needs of students who wish to prepare for graduation exams, encourage and motivate teachers to voluntarily teach exam preparation for students in need, and encourage students to come to school to study on their own during the days when the school does not organize activities.
According to Comrade Cao Van Giap, Head of the General Education Department (Department of Education and Training), very early on, the Department of Education and Training instructed units to review according to the orientation of the Reference Questions for the High School Graduation Exam from 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training and organized for managers and teachers to study the content of the reference questions for the High School Graduation Exam from 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training. Professional groups/teams carefully analyzed the structure of the questions, new types of questions, the proportion of knowledge content, distributed test capacity, test level, and forecasted the average score that students of the unit could achieve with the reference questions. Based on the analysis of the reference questions, professional groups met to discuss plans to organize teaching, review, and guide students to self-study; strengthen testing and evaluation of students' learning and review results according to the orientation of the reference questions of the Ministry of Education and Training so that students can become familiar with the test format. Teachers in the professional research team/group select review materials, software, websites... with quality content for review, testing, and assessment according to the reference questions. Teachers build a system of questions, exercises, and exam preparation questions according to the reference questions of the Ministry of Education and Training to share and use in the unit and the whole province. All of the above work aims to provide solutions and ways for students to review in order to achieve the highest results in the upcoming exam.
With the initiative and positivity of the entire education and training sector, we believe that the 2025 high school graduation exam in the province will maintain the tradition of ensuring safety, seriousness, compliance with regulations, and high quality.
