Investment in expanding a series of major highways in the first two quarters of the year

Many highway expansion investment projects will have their investment procedures prepared expedited and start construction in the first two quarters of 2025.

Regarding the plan to invest in developing transport infrastructure in 2025, the Ministry of Transport said it is directing/coordinating with relevant units to speed up the preparation progress for investment in expanding a number of expressways in the first two quarters of 2025.

Specifically, the project to upgrade and expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh, Cam Lo - La Son, La Son - Hoa Lien expressways.

The Cao Bo - Mai Son highway expansion project is also scheduled to start construction in the first quarter of this year.

Speaking to Giao thong Newspaper, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that at present, the Cam Lo - La Son Expressway expansion investment project is at the bidding stage to select a consultant to prepare a feasibility study report. The La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway expansion project is at the bidding stage to select a technical design consultant.

"The Board is making efforts to ensure conditions for the commencement of the two projects in the second quarter of 2025," informed a representative of the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.

In addition to the expansion and upgrade projects, in the first two quarters of 2025, the Ministry of Transport also plans to start construction on a number of new expressway projects such as: Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway under the PPP model; Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway; Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway (section through Ninh Binh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh); My An - Cao Lanh expressway phase 1...
