Up to now, enterprises in Thanh Hoa province have basically publicized the bonus levels for the Lunar New Year and Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, which are considered higher than in 2024. Notably, no enterprise has said that it will not give Tet bonuses or give Tet bonuses in kind instead of money like some previous years.

Ensure promises are fulfilled properly and completely

This information is like a spiritual therapy, encouraging and motivating workers to work with peace of mind. However, in order for this commitment to be fully implemented, ensuring the rights of workers, in addition to the self-awareness of enterprises, it is necessary to have the participation and supervision of labor management agencies and trade unions at all levels. Trade unions at all levels need to grasp the situation of labor relations, employment, wages, and Tet bonuses; promptly handle developments arising among workers and laborers.

Speaking at the recent 6th Conference of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor (13th tenure), President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang requested that trade unions at all levels organize well activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and bringing the most benefits to union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels regularly grasp the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; wages, Tet bonuses, promptly handle arising developments...

Previously, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued an official dispatch requesting the Departments of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with the management boards of industrial parks, economic zones, export processing zones, labor federations, and relevant agencies to monitor and grasp the production and business situation of enterprises and the lives of workers. In particular, it is necessary to have measures to grasp the implementation of salary and bonus regimes of enterprises for workers to see if they are in accordance with the announced and committed levels or not.

Bonuses are considered a strategy to stabilize the local workforce, attract good workers and develop the quality of labor in the unit, creating a competitive advantage in the market. For a long time, there has been a situation where workers change jobs and quit after Tet, causing instability in production, disruption of jobs in businesses as well as causing negative consequences for the economy and society. The cause of this situation partly comes from the lack of care and failure to fulfill commitments from business owners.

Grasping the developments in life, work, income, especially the Tet bonus promised by the enterprise, not only ensures the rights of employees, but also contributes to building stable labor relations, preventing job insecurity as well as the consequences that labor can cause to society.

With the requirements set forth, it requires serious participation and greater responsibility of labor management agencies and trade unions at all levels.
