On October 7, the National Assembly Delegation of the province had a meeting with voters of Cam Pha City before the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, National Assembly Delegate of the province; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province.

At the meeting, National Assembly Delegate Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, shared his condolences for the loss of life and property caused by storm No. 3 in Quang Ninh province. The storm has passed, but the difficulties in daily life, production and business will continue for people and businesses in the province. Therefore, at this meeting, the National Assembly Delegation wants to listen to people's opinions, recommendations and proposals on policies to support the damage caused by storm No. 3 to synthesize and report at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Informing voters about the main contents expected at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Xuan Thang said: The 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly is expected to open on October 21 and close on November 30, 2024. The session will consider and pass 16 laws and 2 resolutions; give opinions on 12 draft laws; assess the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2024 and consider and decide on the socio-economic development plan, the state budget estimate, and the central budget allocation plan in 2025; the implementation of the public investment plan in 2024 and decide on the public investment plan in 2025.

Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, discussed and clarified a number of issues and contents raised by voters.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, also informed about the results of responses to the petitions of Cam Pha City voters sent to ministries, branches, central agencies and the Provincial People's Committee before the 7th Session.

At the meeting, voters of Cam Pha City expressed their high agreement with the proposed content of the 8th Session; agreed, trusted and were excited about the innovations in the activities of the National Assembly, especially in recent sessions. Voters also highly appreciated the direction and administration of the Government, creating positive changes in socio-economic development, improving people's lives.

Voters in Cam Pha City expressed their opinions and aspirations to the National Assembly delegates. They proposed that the National Assembly consider and amend the current Law on Cadres and Civil Servants to add the title of Party Committee office to commune-level civil servants so that commune-level civil servants can work with peace of mind; amend Decree 131 detailing and implementing the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with revolutionary contributions; propose to consider raising the support level according to Decree No. 02 of the Government for households raising livestock and growing crops that suffered damage after storm No. 3; raise appropriate spending levels to encourage the activities of Advisory Councils under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. Some voters also expressed their opinions related to the research, early development and promulgation of the Law on People's Supervisory Activities; and pay attention to amending the Law on Personal Income Tax to suit the actual situation...

At the meeting, representatives of provincial departments and branches answered and clarified a number of issues within their authority.

At the same time, he received the recommendations and proposals of voters and sent them to relevant departments, branches and sectors for consideration and resolution; received all recommendations of voters to synthesize and report at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Immediately after the meeting with voters, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Provincial National Assembly Delegate; Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, together with leaders of the province and related departments and branches, surveyed the large-scale landslide area in Group 7, Zone 5, Quang Hanh Ward, Cam Pha City. Currently, Cam Pha City has urgently evacuated all 136 households with nearly 400 people to a safe place and invited specialized units to survey and monitor the landslide area.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Provincial National Assembly Delegate, and Provincial National Assembly Delegates inspected the large-scale landslide area at Group 7, Zone 5, Quang Hanh Ward, Cam Pha City.

After the inspection, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang requested that, in addition to the relocated households, Cam Pha City must continue to maintain measures to ensure safety for people and businesses in the surrounding areas. At the same time, he requested that leading experts in this field who are surveying in this area focus on investigating, surveying, taking samples, analyzing in depth, assessing the level and scope of impact to soon make the most accurate decision, ensuring the stability of people's lives.
