Delegation of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee visited and celebrated Tet in Mondulkiri province, Cambodia

On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer people, on April 3, a working delegation of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai visited and extended New Year greetings to the government and people of Mondulkiri province.

The delegation also included representatives of the Department of Finance, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Police, and the Provincial People's Committee Office.

The delegation took a souvenir photo with the leaders of Mondulkiri province.

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Men Nguoy - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Chairman of the Mondulkiri Provincial Council, Deputy Governors and representatives of local departments and branches.

At the reception, on behalf of the leaders of Dak Lak province, comrade Truong Cong Thai sent to Mr. Men Nguoy, the leaders of the province and all the people of Mondulkiri province the best and warmest greetings, wishing the Khmer people a new year of peace and prosperity. Comrade Truong Cong Thai expressed his hope that the leaders and people of Mondulkiri province will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Cambodian community of Vietnamese origin to do business and live in Mondulkiri province, further promoting upcoming cooperation activities between the two provinces in all fields. Comrade Truong Cong Thai believes that, with consensus and goodwill to cooperate, the two provinces will overcome all challenges, together maintain and develop the relationship between the two provinces to a new height, bringing benefits to both sides.

The traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival is a festival with deep cultural significance and solidarity spirit and is an occasion for Khmer people to send their wishes for peace and prosperity in the new year. This is also an occasion for leaders of the two sides to regularly visit, exchange and work in recent years. Thereby, not only sharing good cultural values, but also connecting with each other in economic, trade and people-to-people cooperation activities, contributing significantly to fostering solidarity and friendship between the government and people of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri provinces.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and wished Chol Chnam Thmay to Team K51 on duty and the Khmer - Vietnamese Association in Mondulkiri province, Cambodia.
