Thereby, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of press publications; promoting propaganda effectiveness in localities.

On the afternoon of April 2, a delegation of Hai Duong Newspaper led by Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Quy Trong visited, studied, and exchanged experiences and journalism skills at Quang Ngai Newspaper.

Receiving and working with the delegation, on the side of Quang Ngai Newspaper, there were Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc, along with Deputy Editors-in-Chief Ha Hoang Trieu and Tran Dinh Hai;...

At the meeting, leaders of the two press agencies provided information and an overview of the organizational structure and operations of each press agency; the advantages and difficulties in carrying out current propaganda tasks; and shared the development orientation of the two press agencies in the coming time.

Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc shared that Quang Ngai Newspaper was established after Nghia Binh province was split into Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai provinces. On July 8, 1989, Quang Ngai Newspaper published its first issue. Since its establishment until now, it has been a long journey of overcoming difficulties to develop Quang Ngai Newspaper, gradually creating prestige and position in the hearts of readers.

Quang Ngai Newspaper currently has print and online publications. The print newspaper has 2 publications, including: Daily newspaper (published from Monday to Thursday), Weekend newspaper (published on Friday). In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ngai Newspaper published 65 print issues, with an average circulation of 4,015 copies/issue.

Quang Ngai e-newspaper operates stably, with a daily traffic of more than 35 thousand visits. The multimedia format of the e-newspaper with many diverse and rich genres, including: Video, Emagazine, Infographic, Podcast;… is increasingly improved in quality.

The newspaper regularly updates propaganda content on social networking platforms such as Fanpage, YouTube, Zalo, TikTok, etc. to meet information needs, guide public opinion, contribute to economic and social development; ensure national defense, security and social order and safety in the province.

With the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, Quang Ngai Newspaper has been focusing on implementing the Quang Ngai Newspaper Development Project for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, focusing on e-newspapers. Up to now, the newspaper has effectively put into operation a converged newsroom and an e-newspaper studio, meeting professional requirements and tasks; improving the quality of press works and programs published on Quang Ngai Newspaper publications; promoting digital transformation in the field of journalism.

Hai Duong Newspaper visited the editorial office at Quang Ngai Newspaper.

Editor-in-Chief of Hai Duong Newspaper Nguyen Quy Trong said that the first issue of Hai Duong Newspaper was published on December 1, 1961. On January 2, 1997, the first Hai Duong Newspaper was published after the province was re-established.

Since the province was re-established, Hai Duong Newspaper has undergone the most dramatic innovation. In particular, in 2011, the printed newspaper increased to 7 issues/week, becoming one of the first Party newspapers in the North to publish daily. In 2009, Hai Duong e-newspaper was born, promptly meeting the information needs in the new situation.

In recent years, Hai Duong e-newspaper has innovated and developed strongly; it is often in the top 5 local Party newspapers nationwide with the highest number of visitors; social networking platforms have all grown well.

Hai Duong Newspaper and Quang Ngai Newspaper both focus on developing electronic newspapers, changing management methods, actively converting to digital journalism, developing a converged newsroom model; focusing on multimedia journalism, proactively applying technology to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.

Leaders of the two press agencies hope to further strengthen coordination in professional exchanges in the coming time, aiming to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda; affirm the role and position of local Party newspapers, and actively contribute to the overall development of Vietnam's revolutionary press.

* Within the framework of the visit and exchange of experience and expertise, in the afternoon of the same day, Quang Ngai Newspaper and Hai Duong Newspaper visited and offered flowers and incense at the Memorial Site of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, in Duc Tan Commune (Mo Duc), to express their respect and gratitude for the great contributions of the outstanding son of Quang Ngai.

This is an opportunity for reporters and editors to gain a deeper understanding of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong’s ideology, personality and great contributions to the country. The legacy he left behind remains intact, becoming a source of inspiration for journalists in their mission to spread knowledge, arouse patriotism and responsibility to serve society.
