On October 13, youth leaders who won the October 15 Award of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) had many meaningful activities in Da Nang City within the framework of the program to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's tradition day and the October 15 Award Ceremony in 2024. |
This year, 85 outstanding Youth Union officials and leaders were honored. These are all movement leaders with many effective models and initiatives that have spread among young people, bringing practical values to the community and locality. |
The October 15 Award is a noble award of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented to Union officials, youth leaders, members, and youth with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movements. |
Each individual will receive a medal, certificate, merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and cash. |
It is known that the Council selected the winners of the October 15 Award from 147 applications proposed by 51 units of the Vietnam Youth Union of provinces, cities and affiliated units. |
Among the nominations, there are 122 individuals of Kinh ethnicity; 8 individuals are ethnic minorities: Thai, Tay, Jrai, Khmer, Cham and 4 individuals are religious followers: Buddhism, Theravada, Islam. |
Within the framework of the Award Ceremony, 85 delegates had many practical and meaningful activities on their journey to red addresses in Da Nang City such as: Ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho, visit Military Zone 5 Museum, Da Nang Museum... |
In particular, delegates had the opportunity to learn about history, sovereignty over islands and the process of fighting to protect every meter of the Fatherland's sea at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House. |
According to Ms. Phan Thi Hieu, President of the Youth Union of Bo Trach district (Quang Binh province), as a youth leader, receiving the October 15 Award is an honor, pride and a reminder for the Union officials to always practice and improve the quality of Union activities and the local youth movement. |
“Attending the award ceremony, I had the opportunity to exchange and share experiences and skills with youth leaders from other localities, thereby learning many new things that can be applied in practical activities. We also had a meaningful day when we set foot in red addresses in Da Nang, learning about local history and culture,” said Ms. Hieu. |
The program to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's Traditional Day and the Award Ceremony on October 15, 2024 will take place tonight (October 13) at Duy Tan University Hall (Da Nang).
