The Vietnam Smart City 2024 awards were presented on the afternoon of December 3 in Hanoi within the framework of the Vietnam - Asia Smart City 2024 conference.

Not only leading in smart management and operation with the IOC Center with the highest rate of online public services nationwide reaching 95% (provincial average 55%); the rate of online processing of records is 65% (provincial average 17%); Da Nang is recognized as a model in smart environmental management with 36 monitoring stations directly connected to mobile devices, a wastewater treatment system with a total capacity of 33,700m3 /day and night.

In innovation, Da Nang has become an attractive destination for startups with nearly 9,000 newly established businesses from 2022-2023; successfully organized the Da Nang International Venture and Angel Investment Conference 2024 - DAVAS 2024, attracting 30 projects to participate in capital calling and 1:1 connection with investors and investment funds.

The Vietnam Smart City Awards were first held in 2020 and have become an annual activity of VINASA, to honor pioneering and exemplary localities, organizations and businesses in the journey of building smart cities.

This year's award honors cities that are constantly improving and pioneering the application of technology to smarten urban areas.

Hanoi City is recognized for its pioneering innovation in public services and smart infrastructure with the titles of Smart Public Service City ; Smart Infrastructure City.

Ho Chi Minh City, the dynamic economic locomotive of the country and Thu Duc city, Tay Ninh city are the “rising stars” honored in the category of Intelligent Operational and Management City (IOC).

These are cities that are constantly expanding their smart urban ecosystems, encouraging and promoting the application of advanced technologies, serving all aspects of life for residents.

Cao Lanh City, in its first year participating in the award, won the title of Smart Education City , when it successfully deployed a school management platform integrating digital workspaces to 100% of educational institutions and deployed most of the activities of educational institutions in the online environment.

In addition to the awards given to typical cities, the Vietnam Smart City Award 2024 is also presented to a number of green technology solutions and digital technology solutions for smart cities.
