On January 27, the Department of Transport of Da Nang City put into operation 4 non-subsidized bus routes with numbers 03, 09, 13 and 14.
Starting and ending points of the routes include: bus route number 03, distance 25 km from Da Nang airport to Ba Na Hills tourist area (Man Thien - Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Tri Phuong - Dien Bien Phu - Hue intersection - Ton Duc Thang - Hoang Van Thai).
Route No. 09 from Oncology Hospital to Pham Hung Street, distance 16 km (Hoang Thi Loan - Nguyen Sinh Sac - Ton Duc Thang - Hoang Van Thai - Hoang Minh Thao - Le Sao - Bui Tan Dien - Le Dinh Ky - Le Trong Tan - Ton Dan - Vu Lang - Truong Chinh - Le Dai Hanh - Ong Ich Duong - Cam Le Bridge).
Unsubsidized buses go into operation
Route No. 13 from Oncology Hospital - Vietnam - Korea University, distance 19 km (Hoang Thi Loan - Nam Tran - Ton Duc Thang - Hue intersection - Truong Chinh - Le Dai Hanh - Nguyen Huu Tho - Nguyen Tri Phuong bridge - Vo Chi Cong - Tran Dai Nghia).
Route No. 14 from Han River Port - High-Tech Park, distance 26.1 km (Dong Da - Tran Phu - Le Duan - 29.3 Park - Dien Bien Phu - Hue intersection - Hoang Thi Loan - Nguyen Sinh Sac - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Luong Bang - Au Co - DT602 Road - DT601 Road - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Concentrated IT Park - Road No. 5 High-Tech Park).
The buses use GAZelle B26, meeting Euro 5 emission standards and meeting registration regulations in Vietnam.
These are 4 bus routes with new routes, operating under the form of business investment and operation without city subsidies.
Frequency from 15 to 30 minutes/trip, operating from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
Previously, the Department of Transport directed the Traffic Signal and Public Transport Operation Center (Datramac) to survey people's travel needs, develop routes and diagrams, and invite businesses to submit capacity profiles.
The Da Nang Airport - Ba Na Hills route has a large number of passengers.
In the immediate future, in the next 5 years, these 4 non-subsidized bus routes will be operated by Phuong Trang FutaBuslines JSC. This company is also operating 5 other subsidized bus routes in Da Nang City.
Ticket prices start from 8,000 VND (for students) and go up to 30,000 VND (Da Nang airport - Ba Na Hills).
Students, workers, people over 60 years old, beneficiaries of war invalids and sick soldiers policies, parents, wives and children, relatives of martyrs, and people with disabilities receive a 50% discount on monthly tickets.
Mr. Luong Huynh An, representative of Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, said that among the non-subsidized bus routes, route number 3 from Da Nang airport to Ba Na Hills is very important to passengers, especially tourists and the Da Nang tourism industry.
This is a route with a large number of tourists, so it meets the needs, convenience and increases traffic solutions for tourists visiting Da Nang City and Ba Na and Suoi Mo tourist complex, contributing to promoting Da Nang tourism.
Mr. Dang Nam Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Da Nang City, said that the launch of a non-subsidized bus route after many years of operating subsidized buses is a good sign for the transport industry and the development of the public transport network.
This is also a premise for the transport sector to continue researching and proposing to open new types of public transport by 2030, increasing utilities to meet people's travel needs.
