Da Nang submerged in fog

Over the past three days, Da Nang has been frequently covered in fog from dawn to noon, making the landscape along the Han River and the city's symbols blurry.

On the morning of February 22, thick fog covered the Han River, almost obscuring many high-rise buildings. According to the Central Central Hydrometeorological Station, fog has been rare in Da Nang in recent days due to high humidity and light winds.

Dragon Bridge, the symbol of the city, is blurred in the mist. The bridge was inaugurated in March 2013, designed in the shape of a steel dragon more than 666 m long flying out to sea.

The cylindrical, 37-storey Da Nang City Administrative Center building was covered in fog from early morning until almost noon.

The coastal areas of Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra districts are covered in fog, making it impossible to see the sea. The fog is thicker in this area than in the west, where it borders the mountains.

The 67-meter-high statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula is unclear due to fog.

Many tourists choose after 9am, when the mist is lighter, to jog on the sidewalk by the East Sea.

Traffic is not difficult from about 7am to noon because visibility is still about 100m.

At about 10am, the sea side gradually saw sunlight and the fog gradually cleared. At about 1pm, the sky gradually cleared again.

According to the forecast of the Central Central Hydrometeorological Station, the fog phenomenon is likely to last until February 23-24.
