Experience 'Playing With Math' on International Mathematics Day

Tomorrow morning, March 14, the UNESCO Center for Mathematics (ICRTM), the Institute of Mathematics - VAST and the Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF) will organize the International Mathematics Day event with the theme "Playing With Math". This is an opportunity for everyone to discuss and receive valuable knowledge about the latest achievements in the world.

The event updates the recent breakthrough work AlphaGeometry and its applications in economics, including a lecture by one of the authors on AlphaGeometry - the AI ​​model that solved the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO); a lecture on quantitative methods in economics.

Dr. Tran Nam Dung and Dr. Luong Minh Thang will present public lectures on geometry, IMO and AI.

Within the framework of the event, there will be a discussion by speakers who have competed in IMO, are creating a mathematical playground for all ages and economic experts who always apply mathematics.

Specifically, the lecture on the topic "Geometry, IMO and AI" was presented by Dr. Tran Nam Dung, Vice Principal of the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and Dr. Luong Minh Thang, senior research and management expert at Google Deepmind, co-author of AlphaGeometry.

The lecture "Quantitative research methods in socio-economics" by Dr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, International School - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Deputy Director of the Mekong Development Research Institute, will present a very important aspect of mathematics, which is the application of mathematics in socio-economics.
